Sitting here slagging Phillip rivers age and calling him grandpa then realizing he's only 7 years older than me...

Then again there's less and less players in the league now that are my age.

It's realistic that both Leonard Williams & Byron Murphy can have 2 sacks each in this game..

I think it's more likely that Rivers has 3 picks or more in this game due to him NOT being able to throw the ball down the field.

I played a friendly game of touch football at age 29 after not playing for 7 years. I was still very active, playing in a baseball and basketball league and running just about every day. Still, I couldn't believe how sore I was the next day.

Then, at age 40, I played football with some visiting nephews. You guessed it, I pulled my hamstring, which took over 8 weeks to heal.

The Boozer twins starting for Duke made me feel very very old

Philip Rivers being signed to an NFL squad makes me feel young again

Thank you Colts
I play coed rec soccer with most of the team being in their early to mid 20s. One of my team mates is an angels fan from Anaheim and I asked him how he felt when the angels won the world series as my wife is a big angels fan only for him to say he wasn't born when it happened. When did 2002 become so long ago?

I don't feel particularly old usually.

I was sad last year when the very last player in the NFL older than me retired. Now, I'm back to being only older than all, but one. The dream might not be dead.

I get why so many NFL fans are excited for this. However, while this particular situation is not typical, it seems like these unusual, ultra-hyped occurrences always end up horribly anticlimactic. The Colts will probably run the most boring offense ever, and he'll be like 8/12 for 56 yards and an INT when they pull him in the third quarter of a 34-3 loss.

I wouldn't hate to see him do a little well though. I don't care if we dominate every game in every facet, I watch to be entertained.

You can still throw as you age it isn’t that it’s catching up to the speed of the game. A lot of screens and a run heavy game plan with JT. Sprinkle in 40 trick plays and a fake punt and if everything goes right for the Colts, they still lose by double digits to the Hawks
