"B B B B B But I played like real hard, and they paid off the refs?!?! I jumped around and screamed LOTS on the sidelines like I was supposed to?!?! Why?! Why couldn't I just be allowed to win?!"

Are you kidding me? Why don't you go have another 10 kids. Glad your HOF charade just got pushed off 5 years because of this stupidity.

Hated him with the Chargers, and double hate this idiot now. Please go away now. Cinderella time is OVER.

He played better than I thought. And I really really really don't want to buy into the steering thing. But yesterday, it was pretty damn obvious. One of the worst officiated games we've seen, imo. How many fricken times was one of our receivers being mugged with no call? Drive killers. Settling for 6 field goals sucks, but at the same time, it really shouldn't have been that way. Throw the f'ing flag, do your damn job.
So sick of this sh**

They game planned to keep him in the game with quick throws and nothing much over 10 yards. Did he even complete anything that went more than 10 yards in the air? I remember a couple of misses and the pick. With 2 deep safeties to cover any of that, we could keep 9 men in the box and short zones to limit the run game and the YAC.

In the end, they lost the game, in part because their QB was seriously limited. They had 2 meaningful drives, 1 for the TD and 1 for the go-ahead FG inside the 2 minute mark. We answered both and had 2 go-ahead drives in the last few minutes.

i just didnt like the defensive scheme yesterday. we gave them all the checkdowns and thats all they were even looking for. they shouldnt have been able to complete first down after first down. could never flip the field and they just controlled so much of the clock. we fed into everything the colts wanted to do in order to even keep it close.

Couple of flags gave the first down on fourth down though

In the post game press conference, MM said they ran a completely different offense than what they had seen on tape, and that they had to essentially throw out the defensive game plan in the first half and try to adapt on the fly. At halftime they were able to scheme a bit better to what was happening, and you could see the defensive adjustment.

The bigger problem in my opinion was the lack of sustaining drives by the offense and field position. We gave the Colts a lot of short fields to work with, and continued to give them ball back to them without taking barely any time off the clock.

I think if the Hawks were able to score a TD or two, or even hold the ball a little longer and actually flip field position, this game wouldn't have been close. The defense would have been able to pin their ears back a little more and forced Rivers to actually attempt throws down the field longer than 5-10 yards.

Hope the kids watching the game at his school were crying after. Let's be real, that Colts game plan falls apart if the Seahawks get any TD in that game and the colts need to chase a deficit. Especially if you have to take Taylor out and ask Rivers to pass a ton and take chances. The 9ers and other teams now have tape on this and I expect those teams to blow them out.

Greg Bell that covers with the News Tribune said on 93.3 that the Seahawks DBs mistimed Rivers passes cause the velocity was just not there. Which, I would think you could and would be able to sit in zones and see the throws coming and just pick them off but that did not happen. However the Macdonald decides to game plan he needs to adjust on the fly for these next few games and in the playoffs.

Defenses can't prepare for constant underthrown DUCKS.

Our D got to Rivers so little I felt like we were playing him with kid gloves. But then I saw how the officials were aiding his cause, while ignoring obvious penalties vs the Colt secondary I got worried we might not find an antidote. Skin of your teeth win for us requiring TWO scoring drives inside the final 2 minutes, part of which was eaten by the Colts making one of their own. Waaay too close for comfort, or even believability.
It's a miracle we're sitting here at 11/3.

It was a great job by Rivers and their offensive coaching staff to get the ball out of his hands quickly. That's always been Rivers' MO, and the one area that an aging QB can do well at especially if they understand the game as well as he does. Hats off to them. It's also why I don't think blitzing would have helped, and only would have hurt. Giving Rivers hot routes would have opened up the field for bigger plays. I think for the most part the defense did a great job at limiting that. It's why, despite their sustained drives, they weren't able to capitalize more on their time of possession. Once the Hawks adjusted to what they were seeing in the second half, the colts only had one drive over 25 yards.

No. The local news did a great interview with the hs team. They all thought it was awesome that he was there and gave it his best shot. I am too. Not all heros come out of the PNW

Next week sure but not against my team. Heck I'll be the biggest Phillip rivers fan going next week. It's a cool story just not when my team has so much on the line.
