Farve’s first grandkid was born April 6, 2010.

His final game was vs the Bears on December 20, 2010.

He sustained a concussion, after he was knocked out, and that marked the end of his career.

So, yes, Farve was the first grandfather to play in an NFL game, as well as the first to start one.

I don't think the Colts are going to expect Rivers to do much. I think Steichen thinks Rivers will manage the game better and make fewer mistakes than Riley Leonard or Brett Rypien. Even with Daniel Jones in there, the name of the game was hand-the-ball-to-Jonathan Taylor.

Btw, I just saw Rivers on TV at his press conference and clips of him at practice. He looks old and bloated. He doesn't look like someone who kept in playing shape.

Don't get this narrative that he's a future hall of famer. Was never the top qb in any year he played or probably top 3 and no super bowls. Hall of very good yes. Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Manning, big Ben were better. Even Eli and Wilson have better cases
A lot of people would have liked to see him in a championship environment and organization, I wouldn't knock him for being loyal to his small market team like we have. I'm curious how he would have faired with bellicheat, honestly, probably would have been a nightmare for the league.

As an NC State fan and Seahawks fan I hope PR doesn’t play Sunday unless it’s garbage time with the Hawks up big. I don’t want him to have to face our defense because our boys will make his life hell out there. I’m hoping he balls out against the Niners though.

Coach Mac apparently expects Rivers to get the green light this Sunday against Seattle.

Man....seeing an out-of-shape Rivers all-of-a-sudden makes me less apprehensive of him playing now. 🤭

Either QB that the Colts throw at us should result in an EASY win this Sunday.

Easy as in close-to-Max Brosmer-type easy (but with the Seattle Offense rolling and not having to deal with a Flores Defense).

I sure hope the guys aren’t looking past this game.

Surely MM wouldn’t let that happen, rite?
Nope. I think our D is on a feeding frenzy, and they would love nothing more than to feed off a young (or old) QB and do another 4 quarters of no TDs.

Not likely. I'm sure the players are all drooling over the fantasy stats they can earn this week.

Preparing for any of these QBs = “Ok, guys. There’s going to be a QB handing the ball off in this game. Be prepared for that. Now, let’s move on to defending the run.”

…Comes out of retirement at 44 for the Colts and beats us at home Sunday I am going to lose my shit.

That is all.
Me too boss. The Colts are still pretty dangerous on the ground but are missing too many pieces defensively to really hang for four quarters with the Hawks. I expect a 3 score lead by halftime but will settle for a win regardless of margin of victory. They lead the league in point differential and several other categories so it should be an ass pounding

Normally, I would agree with you but there is the looming Thursday game on the horizon to consider so blowing this team out early so we can rest our starters would be ideal.

We do not want to have to be playing our starters in the 4th quarter against this now-rudder'less Colts team.
