Or he could just throw screen passes all day long, whenever they want to give Taylor a break. Won't take any time to get in sync with his receivers, and usually gashes our defense.
Even in his prime though he threw pretty bad interceptions at the worst moments. He's also not played this specific defence.

As there's more and more talk about how this can work, Rivers can be effective emerges, I can see our D getting pissed and having a chip on their shoulder going into this one. Team won't treat this a gimmie.

I remember Brock Huard and Brett Favre talking about how they can still throw a decent spiral even at their age and sometimes they have a moment where they think they could still play...until they get that one big hit on them. I think Favre said at the time (5 or so years ago) he thinks he could last maybe one game before his body gave up.

If this was Pete Carroll i'd be terrified this would be a trap game and potential nail biter. Especially having to prepare for facing 2 qb's. Don't really feel that under MM. We are usually prepared. Only time I felt otherwise was the Bucs game and that was mostly injuries.

Even in the Bucs game. Mike took that one extremely personal and basically vowed to not let that happen again. You've seen the preparation since regardless of the opponent. Not at all worried.

100% agreed, especially the comparison to late stage Pete. Hawks struggled in 22 to beat a down and out Ram team twice that was starting Baker Mayfield then as an example.

I mean this D less than a month ago held the high-powered Rams to 21 in a game where Darnold threw 4 picks. I'm not scared about how a QB who hasn't taken a snap in 5 years will do if he plays.

I hope he plays. At least it's an interesting storyline and it's the only way you'll ever see Seahawks highlights on something like Football Night in America.

Ain’t no way a mid 40s or however old Rivers is that hasn’t played in however long it’s been, able to step on the field against this Seattle defense. No way.

Rivers, if anything should be backup and nothing more. I’d take my chances with the rookie.

Rivers is and always have been a pure pocket passer and Seattle defense against Rivers now, Seahawks will wreck Rivers.

Seattle’s pass rush would send Rivers into permanent retirement.

Do it, Colts, I dare you, I triple dog dare you!

I just heard on 710 that if Rivers throws a pass, he will be the first "Grandpa" to ever play QB in the NFL!
