he will end up Seattle's 2nd all time leading rusher. In fact over the next 3 seasons he only needs to average 1113 yards to do so.

pretty impressive. Especially for what we gave up to get him.

in fact, if he somehow played at a high level for 5 more seasons, and averages just over 1200 yards per season he would become our leading rusher. The way he runs I don't see that happening, however that would be pretty awesome. I'm not an Alexander hater but the way beast mode does it is fun to watch.

anyhow. fun offseason facts!

I love Beastmode for sure but like many others know he's not the type of runner that has a really long career.

However look at Rick Watters, he was a basher for 3 different teams and was very good right up to the last season. Lets hope it works out like that for Marshawn.

I think Marshawn will have a longer career than most power rushers, but it's just a hunch. He also is underrated when it comes to his agility, and that may be what keeps him in the game. He seems to be very instinctive as well. But more than anything, his body seems to be able to take a lot of damage. And it helps that HE'S the one delivering most of it.

Marshawn is an uncommon physical freak whose body will not break down like average RBs. Just watch the way he walks, it's kind of a Sasquatch waddle that transmits pure power to the ground. Everywhere he goes, you see earthworms and albino rats scrabbling from their holes, running for daylight!

really makes you wonder how many yards Alexander finishes with if he continues to play at a high level and finishes out his contract

I'm not expecting much more from Alexander. Call it a hunch.

I love Marshawn to death but to say he won't age just because he's a "beast" or "freak" is homerism. Everyone thought Tomlinson would never see the downside of his career but he did and rather quickly. I think Marshawn might play out his contract but I hope the team is serious about developing his successor in the next few years.

I have to give credit to the Rams for knowing when to let Steven Jackson go and I hope we know when it's time for Marshawn to ride off into the sunset.

I'd much rather him leave here a stud then see him go out a shell of his former self like Michael Turner did in Atlanta this year.

Who cares about how many yards Lynch gets over the next 3 years. I want to see him in a couple Super Bowls. I think that pretty much shores up his legacy in Seattle.

Lynch has already wrapped up his legacy as one of the most exciting and memorable Seahawks player ever

His Beast Quake run is arguably the greatest play in Franchise history

Agreed. Beastquake is the single best Seahawks memory I have. If he brings us a ring, I will demand a statue for the man. Not a look-a-like statue but some sort af a massive beast like figure.

I just hope they can help him with his back issues. That is his Achilles heal, and back spasms suck big time.

And more than that his Beast Quake run is already considered one of the best ever in NFL history. And he manages to keep making those types of runs on a regular basis which makes his legacy pretty solid in the NFL.

The view of him running and Matt right there with him trying to block will live in my memory forever!

Agreed. I'm thinking something this size would suffice, minus the whole cruel and inhumane dictator thing of course...

I think the read option will certainly help his cause. It separates defenders, opens the field for him a bit more, and allows him to get down field further before most of the contact, at least some of the time. It also pulls at least some defenders away from his side of the field and takes them out of the tackle.

He will be replacing Warner in my signature, heck maybe even just one if they accomplish what they are talking about in the Real Rob Report.

Marshawn got a lot of his yards early this season because PC was limiting RW. It's not going to be the case this year, so you never know. But at the same time the dual threat from both sides is what helps both sides excel as well. I'm excited, screw the NBA and MLB just make the NFL year long lol.
