How much will Dan Quinn improve the D-line?

Between all of that and the big year-one-to-year-two strides hopefully made by Irvin, Scruggs, and Howard we should see some serious improvement, especially with a higher scoring offense led by Russell Wilson, who is studying something football related as I type this.

He can't do much worse than what Bradley did with it toward the end of last season. Love the guy, but just sayin'. We became weak against the run AND got little pressure on passes. Our LBs and DBs basically carried the defense.

I think Quinn's coaching does big things for the line. I see him having the type of impact Cable has with the o-line and Pete has with the DBs.

Look what Quinn has already been given to work with. It's fair to expect significant improvement.

In addition, I expect to see more than a couple teams trying to make up multiple scores on us in the 4th quarter this year.

I expect multiple teams to begin the game like they are already down two scores.

Gus Bradley got his head coaching gig but you think there isn't just a little part of him thinking "damn, that woulda been nice!"

I think having Quinn around will help with the D-Line and the defense in general because he'll be more aggressive with this defense. We'll see Travis Jones work with the D-Line too, but I'm really interested to see how Quinn does with Howard and whether or not he can turn Jaye into a contributor.

And Scott (e), Osama as the pope is creepin me out right now man! haha

Biggest challenge for Quinn won't be pass rush this season, but how he'll handle QBs like Kaepernick and read option offense. I'm curious what strategy he'll implement. Bradley was great at defending the read option as much as he's ragged for being too conservative on blitzes. As we saw with many opponents against the read option, being overaggressive with the ends gets you gashed by running QBs.

Quinn is probably having a huge say in the Avril and Bennett signings. Pete and John are giving him the tools he thinks he needs to be most successful.

I think we'll see a boost in production from the D-line, especially with Irvin. Quinn is a great teacher.

Good thing Pete knows the formula to shutting down the Read Option and he can share it with Quinn. Luckily Quinn's no stranger to it either though, having just come from the college ranks.

That's Osama? I thought it was Rowan Atkinson! Lmao!
And I like it how this regime has rewarded the line coaches who sign on a bunch of guys to work with right away!! (Cable getting to draft his guys)

Wonder if Quinn played a factor in the Bennett signing? I would imagine he wasn't pleased when Bennett was released back in 2009.

[Spoiler Alert!]

The deal with the Rowan/Pope thing goes back to a previous avatar, that was Rowan dressed as osama, and a few people getting quite butthurt about the avatar, thinking it was really bin laden or something, I don't know, but it was quite silly and was quite a debate for at least 10 minutes, probably more.

So, now, Rowan as pope . . . I don't suppose I have to spell the whole thing out, do I?
