It would have felt like we stole one. Darnold played his worse game and they still should’ve won so my takeaway is the Hawks put up 414 yards of total offense, held Stafford to 130 passing and turned the ball over too many times. The better team lost

We deserved to lose because we made too many mistakes, and the Rams generally did a good job avoiding them.

That said, everyone who ever doubted Darnold will be crawling out the woodwork calling him a failure. He had a bad game, but still put us in a chance to win. Even after 4 picks. Even after the Rams punted to our 1 yard line.

We took one of the best teams in the NFL to the wire in their house, and it felt like our own play was a bigger part of the loss than the strengths of the opposition. That says a lot about how good we are.

If their punt had landed in the endzone I'm pretty sure we win. Game of inches.

The loss sucks, but I'mm felling pretty damn good about this Seahawks team!

The one interception when he jumped up in the air “Air Darnold” like Tebow shows his athleticism and vertical leap but we need Sam to make better decisions in the pocket. He took accountability though in the post game press conference but the Hawks ain’t going nowhere and the loss changes nothing with 7 games left to play. They WILL hoist the Lombardi under this regime and roster

We probably win with just ONE less turnover. I was encouraged by everything but the interceptions. Did the Rams have a single sustained drive? If I recall, every score was a short field due to turnovers.
Q1.

74 yard TD drive. Included a 34 yard run by Williams and short TD pass to Adams.

I don’t think so rest of game.

I theorized before the season that the defense keeping the score manageable would lighten Darnold's burden and we'd win a few games that way. But four turnovers weren't exactly in that category of mine.

On that one it looked like kupp was behind the defense with no one to stop him too
He just like you said needed to make better decisions but after so many years of not really being close to competetive this felt like something diffefrent , as in we'll get better and finally get over that hump
Go Hawks

Exactly. The fixable shit is small and easy. If they can get out of their own way at times, this team would be undefeated. I like what they’re building

4 INTs will normally result in a L

The fact the team was still able to mount a potential winning challenge at the end of the game indicates they are dang close to being very special at overcoming adversity. Suspect we all need to cool the negativity about Sam and the team’s ability to be very special.

Food for thought, is the team in losing the three games it has so far going into week 12, only lost those games by a total of 9 points. It’d be obvious to say our boy Sam will need to make better decisions throwing the ball when under pressure.

Disappointed but still am keeping the faith.

Was Darnold even sacked??

What will he do in games he is?

He wasn’t sacked but a big reason he wasn’t is him making those poor decisions under pressure. He definitely needs to learn the art of throwing the ball away or taking a sack because INTs are the wirst possible outcome.

To answer your question ast to what happens when he is sacked? We punt and flip the field with great defense.

Adams is really good. He gets open so quick. It’s almost like he was getting open too quick. His touchdown catch was the one time his openeness and the ball met on time

Win the game? One sack instead of one pick means a makeable field goal on one those drives.

KK needs to put him in better situations also. Bootlegs and PAs instead of pure drop backs most of the game would have helped the shaky interior o-line.

Which was aided by a terrible unnecessary roughness call on Spoon and a couple nice runs that the hawks don’t normally give up
that was a stupid flag and the ref was just itching to throw it. Week one when Leonard Williams brushed by Purdy and he flopped extended their only scoring drive and won the game for em but we gotta be smarter with the football. Takes nothing away from where this team is going but a few of those pics I know Sam wanted back. They were lurking in dime all game and still had 300 passing yards just have to take care of the football

That's right. Thanks! I still find the overall stats to be in the Hawks favor. Not sure I'd feel "great" about this win from the Rams POV but a W is a W! Looking forward to the rematch.

Everyone is criticizing Darnold, can't win the big game, blah blah blah. Here's the question - how many big games has darnold played in at the NFL level? He played the last game of the season last year with the #1 seed at stake, and then the playoff game against the rams. And then yesterday, with the division lead at stake. I'm not going to take the time to look at the entire season with the vikings....but Darnold has three games of experience with the higher pressure/stakes situation. It might be enough to say there's a pattern of him not playing well in these games.....but it sure as heck ain't enough to say "he'll never fix this". Unlike the previous staff, I am confident in this coaching staff's ability to analyze the game and be honest about where adjustments need to happen.

Sam is still the same guy he was a week ago, where he was on the fringes of the MVP conversation. Give the guy a chance, please.

In this 2 point loss the team had over 400 yards of offence, but was unable to convert red zone scoring opportunities into TDs. That much OP indicates the team is close to being there but still are missing some things. They will need to improve this.
