Everyone is criticizing Darnold, can't win the big game, blah blah blah. Here's the question - how many big games has darnold played in at the NFL level? He played the last game of the season last year with the #1 seed at stake, and then the playoff game against the rams. And then yesterday, with the division lead at stake. I'm not going to take the time to look at the entire season with the vikings....but Darnold has three games of experience with the higher pressure/stakes situation. It might be enough to say there's a pattern of him not playing well in these games.....but it sure as heck ain't enough to say "he'll never fix this". Unlike the previous staff, I am confident in this coaching staff's ability to analyze the game and be honest about where adjustments need to happen.
Sam is still the same guy he was a week ago, where he was on the fringes of the MVP conversation. Give the guy a chance, please.
