Grubb is not the primary problem with this team, but he will be the likely scapegoat if things don't turn around dramatically. Why? Well, Seattle was 10th in EPA last season; they are 17th currently. They are not playing complementary football, and MM came from a physical and run-dominant system. Grubb has a lot of strengths, but physicality has yet to show up. Fair or unfair, he's the convenient scapegoat, a college coordinator potentially in over his head in the NFL.
Hopefully, it doesn't come to that. But with how things look, someone's head will roll if this season continues to crater. And it's not going to be the wunderkind HC because that would involve JS falling on his sword.
