Got a feeling this could be big distraction tonight. Sherman hasn't looked same on d last couple weeks and we all know how quickly things change in this league. That being said, Niners looked good tonight. I hope this isn't a sign of us being 10-3 real soon.

Yep, we're totally gonna fall off the tracks here. Team will give up on Pete, Pete will be fired, Russell will be cut, Lynch will quit the team all together, and Sherman is gonna leave the NFL to find his inner Gandhi.

So. Freaking. Screwed.

Actually, this is only the beginning of the bad news. After several days of "random" drug tests, the entire team is suspended for violating the league's substance abuse policy. All save Russell Wilson. We only finish 14-2 as a result.

The 9er's didn't look all that good, if they were playing anyone but the Skins, they probably would have lost.
Chin up man, I think the team will survive a few knuckleheads doing stupid things that will impact their own lives a lot more than the team.

Enough sarcasm please. I think a big fat donut hole in 35 years gives any fan right to be pessimistic about this team or seattle sports in general. I love this team as much as anybody, but I think we've seen enough heartache in this town to know not to get excited too soon

And, to top it all off they will probably change the name of the team to the SeaWeed.

Holy shit, I thought I could be pessimistic about sports at times, but it's obvious I am but a rank amateur pessimist.

Those are some strong icy winds blowing up from the dark bowels of your self inflicted football purgatory there, buddy... keep your distance!

I guess you have never heard the words Oklahoma city, super bowl 40, Vinny testaverde and more 7-9 than I can count......

Ill take 10-1. But I know better than to start celebrating

Wow... Sherman has an off game against a type of WR he will struggle against and certainly 1 he probably didnt game plan much for in film study and all of a sudden its Armageddon around here.

Just for the record if you haven't noticed, the Seahawks are more than just the Legion of Boom.

Like explosive play-making WRs, dominant clock-controlling RB that can trample over the leagues best defenders, elite game managing triple threat QB (passing, rushing, intangibles), one of the leagues best D-Lines, athletically unique LBers, and a secondary that is pretty damn good even without Thurmond, Browner, and Sherman looking "beatable".

Not to mention the best Special Teams in the world.

Man I swear people tend to over react whenever a 49ers team wins against a sub-par team. Especially a team that isn't 100% behind its starting QB right now. Big Whoop let's hide underneath the blankets in sheer terror because 49ers are 7-4 without beating a single good team other than the Cards.

The front 7 (more like 11) and 3/4ths of the secondary stills makes up possibly the best defense in the league.

I had a bad feeling when Eugene Robinson got caught with a hooker the week before the superbowl for the Atlanta Falcons. I knew Atlanta was going to lose at that point. This seems less dramatic, but still has a similar ring to it.

Well, if you've been a fan (of Seattle sports) for 35 years, and have had this gut feeling before, how many times has your gut been correct? Oh...every damn year?

Then don't worry about the opinions of others and stay with that crystal (ball) gut of yours, because you are right, remove the 91 DAWGS and 79 Sonics from the conversation, and this city has been as snake bit as frikin' Cleveland.

Sherman has looked a 1/ 2 step off recently. Is distraction possibly part of the reason? Knowing what we know now, and what Sherman has likely known for a while, distraction cannot be ruled out completely.

I think Earl, Sherm and Kam form a nucleus that is going to get the secondary through this, but to say there's no way Sherm, or the team, is distracted by this is without factual basis. How could any of us know for sure?

The difference is that Eugene was a big part of that team. Browner was already out for the year.
