Wins and Losses, especially actual playoff wins. The true stat.
For those with simple minds probably, but many things have layers to them and you need to peel them back to get the real picture and answers.
The idea that Russ didn't elevate anyone is absolutely crazy talk. Russ hate continues to cause revisionist history that is goofy at best. I'm not going to get into it because its the same usual players.
Geno has to play much better than he has since the magical first half of the season he had when he kicked his starting job off. He's been much, much better than anyone expected and I think this team is really set up for him to have a monster season. But he had 20 touchdowns last year. That number probably needs to double if he's going to win MVP. Is that likely? No but I also don't have a problem with someone thinking he has a chance to do it.
I would love another efficient, 30 touchdown season from Geno and I think he has a decent shot to do that this year.
I just want him to cut back on throwing the ball directly to defenders. Get back to 2022 Geno and this team will be damn good.
Someone coming in to tell me "he only had 9 picks last year" in 3.....2......1.......
Yeah but your goal posts keep moving. Watch him win a playoff game this season, and you'll be like, "but he hasn't won an NFC title!"I guess I just don't get why he gets put up there like he's some elite, clutch QB. Like breaking records when you played 17 games. Ok........how about winning a playoff game first. JUST ONCE.
I mean, some people sucking off Mahomes in this very thread, yet Mahomes threw 14 picks last season. Grading on a different curve here?I just want him to cut back on throwing the ball directly to defenders. Get back to 2022 Geno and this team will be damn good. Fortunately, the defenders have feet for hands and SEVERAL were dropped. Just because they were dropped, that doesn't change the fact that they happened, a lot.

And, Mahomes threw passes to defenders as well... Not all were intercepted... Seems like this might be, I dunno, part of the game?Yeah but your goal posts keep moving. Watch him win a playoff game this season, and you'll be like, "but he hasn't won an NFC title!"

No, I won't at all. I'll be stoked we finally got a playoff win. Been a minute.Yeah but your goal posts keep moving. Watch him win a playoff game this season, and you'll be like, "but he hasn't won an NFC title!"

Are you serious? Mahomes is one of the best QB's in the history of the game. Dear god.Yeah but your goal posts keep moving. Watch him win a playoff game this season, and you'll be like, "but he hasn't won an NFC title!"

So is winning 3 SB's in 4 years. And, Mahomes threw passes to defenders as well... Not all were intercepted... Seems like this might be, I dunno, part of the game?![]()
I mean how many was that? dude only passed for 20 TD's all year, that's barely 1td per game. It was good to see him get some come from behind wins, but you are acting like he was some offensive juggernaut. Dude might have 1 4td game in his entire career. Let's see how our guy does with a better Oline before we start crowning this guy elite.
That's not the point.So is winning 3 SB's in 4 years.
I've said he's a good QB. Those were my exact words in this thread.Whatever you say man. He's a good not great QB. That's my opinion. You don't have to agree. I think this whole thing has run its course.
We all have our opinions, and that's cool. Go Hawks
I like his chances at league MVP tbh. Thoughts?
I give a ton of credit to Baldwin and Lockett to make Russ's style of play work, but Russ has to get some credit for elevating the offense with his versatility. His ability to be threat to run, hand off, or launch it deep made our offense a legit triple threat on almost any play and this elevated what Marshawn was able to do.Who did he make better ? Baldwin and the receivers doing the scramble drill bailed him out more then the designed plays. Lynch the most contact in the backfield for multiple years running making yards out of nothing. He never or rarely used the TE, in fact the reason being he needed the extra blockers. The defense holding teams close and getting turnovers made him look good. So who elevated who, yes he made the games exciting with his hero ball concept, he also caused heart attacks and strokes to increase in Seattle fans by probably 100 percent. I did say that Petes game management was probably 65 percent or so of the issue.
