For the love of god. When are Breno and Okung back?

I love I told you so moments.

I got gashed on this board when people were still crying over Percy when Okung and Giac had just gotten hurt saying how much bigger of a blow this would be and that everyone should be concerned. I got the usual "PC and JS can run a better team than you and are prepared for this situation" and that doesn't appear to be the case now everyone is panicking.

The game of football is won and lost in the trenches and luckily we have been doing just enough to get by mediocre/bad teams on the road. We would have gotten SMASHED by the 49ers last night and quite possibly lost to the Saints at home playing like that.

Seriously dude? Somebody gashed you and said losing percy (someone who has yet to play for this team) was worse than losing both tackles? I'd love to see those posts so I know who to put on ignore. Nobody could be that ignorant, or are you using a little hyperbole here?

Seems like there are a lot of claims lately of "I said this before and everyone jumped all over me for it." Isn't that something like "I told you so!"?

He's totally right. There was a ton of denial about it, Bowie has looked great in pre-season, Pete and JS have it covered, next man up garbage. It actually lasted quite a while, fueled by BS about how every team we played was a monster front 7, and by statements to the effect of who cares Russell is the perfect QB to handle this, and so forth.

If Mullet length is any indicator, Breno looks ready. I was walking around the sidelines great last night. No limp anyways.

I am not going to go back and dig up when it happened so it is up to you to believe/not believe me and I don't really care. All I remember is that I wasn't a good fan for not trusting PC/JS because Bowie looked stellar and was a steal in the draft as well as we have the perfect QB for a battered O-line.

In all fairness, people on this board were just regurgitating what Pete was saying in his pressers. Pete was the one who said not to worry, Bowie, Sweazy and company were coming along just fine and there shouldn't be any issues going forward once they had time to coach them up.

Well, Pete, you're wrong.........and last night was all you need to see to hit the panic button on some of these guys.

I think people are over criticizing Sweezy's performance last night because of 2 penalties (just like the way people who think Giac is terrible because he stands up for his team after plays). He played pretty well for most of the game. Our clear weakness is McQuistan and Bowie, they are the worst starting tackle duo in the NFL right now and it isn't even close.

Some of the Dooms Day guys on here don't want to hear it but Sweezy has been playing well. All season. He had 2 crappy penalties last night and after that he was solid. Just like he is every game. The problem has been and will continue to be (until Okung and Breno return) our Tackles.

Its not their fault.

Bowie was playing Division 2 College ball at a tiny college in the Ozarks last season, and was a 7th round project. You go from lining up against Emporia State University to lining up against Chris Long in the span of a year, and expect the kid to be good?

McQuistan played some backup right tackle for the Raiders, but is mostly a guard, and did not expect to face the likes of Quinn, or the best REs in the NFL this season.

It's the injuries, kids.

I agree it isn't their fault but it still doesn't make them any less terrible. I put most of the blame on Bevell for not drawing up more protection for them but PC/JS should get some as well for not having better depth in one of the most important positions in football.

Agreed. It seems like they game plan regardless of the personnel situation. Good for the most part but no rule is absolute. We need to adjust our offensive game plan around a horrific line. Obviously not business as usual. Love me some Pete but he deserves some lashings for this one going on so long.
