One more year with Geno at how much?
Why waste that money on Geno just to pick at 10 or above again in 2026?
Unless Geno plans to play for a 1year 20 million contract, then I would move on to a cheaper option like Zach.
That money could be better used somewhere else.
What advantage does Geno have over Zach Wilson or a drafted QB this coming season when a whole new offense will be implemented this year? They will all start at square one.
First off, Thank you. People taking your stance I have asked for names to replace Geno and you are the first to give a suggestion. The only difference between the two would be familiarity and rapport with his teammates. Geno I also thing would be a better leader/teacher. Geno still gives you a better chance to win now over someone like Zach Wilson.
I'm no fan of Zach Wilson but I'm also not a professional, just because I don't see any value out of him doesn't mean professionals don't.
Again, I'm all for moving off Geno and have been for years but there needs to be a plan not just throw darts at a board and hope for the best which is what some seem to have been suggesting.
The draft, even picking very high is no guarantees. I know the names are sexier but that means nothing, especially at QB. You let go of Geno and throw someone far inferior out there then the team sees that as tanking. They quit on you, they leave, free agents won't come here and then you are in purgatory.
We all agree, we need a plan at QB ASAP, but is this the year we find answers in the draft? We won't know for years, and best option in the FA market maybe better than Geno is Darnold
