At the end of this video, one of the analysts says "All you have to do is keep Russell Wilson in the pocket and make him a pocket passer. When he gets outside is when he's dangerous so just keep him in the pocket."

I rolled my eyes.

Then Willie McGinnest finally speaks up what we have all been screaming at our TVs and computers all year: "Newsflash: He's a great pocket passer as well and very accurate."

Thank you, Willie. It's about time someone knows what they are talking about.

I've been surprised by Willie as a TV guy. He said something to Houshurmama too when he was on there hating on the Seahawks early in the season.

The graphic behind em has the Seattle at Arizona... how hard is it to get right?

I'm with you on Willie. He's articulate, pronunciates well (that's a huge problem with the Emmit Smith's and Michael Irvins) and comes across as very dignified. A far cry from how he played on the field.

Willie earned my love coming out of the tunnel at this year's USC-UCLA game. He pulled off his sweatshirt to reveal he was wearing a USC 55 jersey and then totally revved up the crowd. It was awesome.

For those who aren't aware, Willie is in Club 55 at USC along with Junior Seau, Chris Claiborne and others.

Last year RW had a better passer rating inside the pocket than outside. I don't know what it is this year, but the claim is asinine at best.

I'm fine if opposing Defenses want to believe it, because that just means they are going to lose the battle.

But NFL Analysts should stop regurgitating the old info that they heard before it was proven false.

Most of those guys don't bother to check these things out for themselves; they just regurgitate the "conventional wisdom." Kudos to Willie McGinest!

Most are too lazy to look up the facts for themselves. They have supposedly knowledgeable production staff that feeds them this SAK "Standard Assumed Knowledge" and they pedal this pap on the air in front of the camera or microphone.
"Talking Heads" describes them well.

LOL! that was good :p

I saw that segment with Willie McGinest and it was funny. Put that dude in his place.

I also heard someone talk about "Seattle's struggles on the road." *yawn*

Double *yawn*. Nope, I'm awake:

10-4 on the road since Miami 2012. I want to believe 10 of those games were 10 a.m. starts.

Seahawks lost to MIA, ATL, INDY, and SFO by a grand point differential of just 13 points or 3.25 average per game.

Sure Seahawks might have lost 8 Road Games in the last two years, but Seahawks were in every one of those games with the lead at some point in the 4th QTR in 5? of them (I think the ones where we didn't have leads were the divisional road games in 2012.) 8 losses by 35 points. An average point differential per loss of just 4.375 points.

Seahawks haven't been blown out (what I consider a loss by 17 or more points) on the road since they played @Pittsburgh in 2011. That was what 25 road games ago if my head math is correct.

WTF do the talking heads expect from us to play as well on the Road as we do at Home ?

I recall that. Perhaps the pick segment and it might have been us vs. SF (week 2). Whosmama says something to the effect of "I think the 9ers (?) are too much for Seattle" and Willie, sort've chuckled and asked..."now why would that be"?.or "what a surprise"...I can't recall which but he was definitely insinuating Yomama was bias against the Hawks. Youmama was dressed like a Honolulu pimp at the time, which just made it better.

I really like McGinest...and would even if he weren't a Hawk fan.

The analyst said "They've got to" not "All they have to do", big difference.
