They did it with 2nd year Wilson, Lynch, and LOB. With rookie Geno Smith instead of Wilson, is it the same outcome?

Geno of '13 & '14 was a turnover machine, Hawks wouldn't come close to superbowl. Can Geno of '21 & '22 with the supporting cast of '13 & '14? probably not but chances a lot better than the '13 '14 Geno.

If you are just talking about the super bowl. Yea they win. If you are talking about the whole road to get there. No, they don’t get there.

I think in hindsight people forget that that season wasn't all a cake walk.

A late fumble in the opener in Carolina (IIRC?) let us get back in that game, 12-7 ugly win.
The Texans game needed that interception return from sherman and everything else to go right to get that kick in OT.
lost to the Colts, and followed that up looking pretty mortal against the Titans
Played that stinker on monday night against the Rams
Were down 21-0 to the winless Bucs at home before needing a miracle comeback
Lost to the niners, and then shut out the giants but only scored 23 despite five eli picks.
Lost to the cardinals

That season was actually pretty wild. But I don't see a lesser QB, especially a rookie, keeping us in some of those wild crazy games. Nooooo way. Russ magic helped us out in a ton of those situations.

I'm a geno hater but Yes we would have won the sb vs broncos and won vs pats as well with geno!! We won in spite of russ in the early years! He threw 4 picks in the nfc Championship vs the Packers and threw the most famous and worst interception in nfl history vs new England. With geno or Flynn we have at least 2 sbs

Defense kept Manning to 8 points. Yes I think Geno could have scored more than 8 points to win that game. Including Percy's 6 points, the QB really only needed to get into field goal range to win...

This is kind of a lame hypothetical.

You forgot the opening safety so really only needed a tie breaker.

Truly though, who knows how a game goes with a different QB. Change one thing and it starts a cascade of change; that is the paradox. Let alone an entire season of change.

I'll play. Sure, who is to say Seattle Rookie Geno isn't the greatest player ever. Seeing how he doesn't exist, I imagine him being a world beater at the QB position and a stud on GQ.

Week 1 can't get here soon enough.

Salute to you sir, you didn't allow your hatred to influence objectivity, most couldn't do that!

The 2013 Jets went 8-8 DESPITE Geno throwing 21 interceptions. The 2014 Jets were 4-12 because Geno sucks, then the 2015 Jets went 10-6 because Geno sucks and only played in one game.

If you're talking about just Super Bowl 48 by itself...yeah, we probably win that game, even with NY Jets model Geno. But it gets dicey.

People often forget how on fire Russ was that day. We were an awful spot on our first drive, and a great defensive play in the end zone on our second drive, from being able to score TDs on pretty much every possession during the first three quarters. We scored every time we got the ball, and never gave the Donkeys a chance to catch their breath.

Flynn or Geno winning two Super Bowls with us? Watch the Tarvaris 2011 season over again, and you'll see what a silly idea that is. You can even skip the first eight games and start with the upset over Baltimore. See how we can't get the one additional score we need in the Redskins, 49ers, and Cardinals games. Then watch our great defense choke in the clutch with a playoff berth on the line. That team wins zero rings without Russ.

Let's say Geno is our QB for Super Bowl 49. If he gets that same exact formation and play call from Pete and Darrell Bevell on 2nd and Goal, why do you think it would go any better?

Russ sucked against the Packers in the NFC Championship, that's true. But two of those picks were Kearse's fault for not being able to make tough catches in traffic. Did Pete and John have those plays in mind when they made the Jimmy Graham trade?

We could’ve had Salena Gomez in at quarterback against the Broncos and still won the super bowl.

Why do you make the question of a ROOKIE Geno, why not a 2nd year Geno like Wilson was???

The answer is absolutely. Go watch the game again, that game was won by the defense against that years number 1 offense, the special teams, kick off return for touchdown, and the running game that destroyed a bad Donkey D.

Russell was not called on to do anything, that is why he didn't get the Most Valuable player, they gave it to a Defensive player with an INT td return.

I will repeat it, Geno would absolutely have helped the D, the special teams, and the running game to win that game by merely executing the game plan (his strong suit).

The question was about the SB game not the full season people, my god so many can conflate things on this site.
