I wonder if the phrase The Adderal Hawks will catch on.

I don't like it, but if it is happening now, it is likely to be for entertainment reasons. My adopted BIL (age 23) a total partier, has claimed to have used it plenty.

If this was HGH, I would have a lot more issues, but considering the recent attention, one would think that these guys would be more careful. There are players on every team doing something, but they don't have multiple players getting caught and another one coming out and talking about it like Sherm. You can be sure that there is a focus on the Hawks that others do not have because of it. Oh well, it would be nice if we didn't have any others getting popped.

Say hello to the #Seadderall Seahawks.

If you don't like it enough to own it, now is the time to start learning to!

This is the second or third time you have posted that. Just sayin.

I like it because others do not. If it upsets other fan bases or the "Ruskell Club" that makes me happy as well. Win win for me all on our way to the Super Bowl. I also get entertainment from watching those in the "Ruskell Club" cheer the gangsters and thugs we have. They have to feel dirty inside but they can't help themselves. Some of these same guys will be wearing Irvin jerseys week 5 and screaming like crazy at the clink.

Actually, you might have very well sen a game winning TD last year if you were watching all the Seahawk games. Sorry bro...couldn't help myself. :)

Yeah we had a lot of game winning TD's last year... :Dunno:

I think he was trying to be witty and slip Fail Mary into the convo.

Love it, actually.

My dad was a notorious "bad guy" when he was a pro wrestler (before cable, so unlikely any of you know him) and honestly, a good bad guy really spices things up a lot.

I think it would be great if we just demolished opponents, get accused of running up the score, whatever, it would be awesome.

It's not Aderrall. That is just an escape goat so people don't hate on the player. The NFL does not disclose what the PED actually was... You can bet nearly all of them are much more serious.

He didn't say, "Half the League is on Adderall."

He said, "Half my TEAM is on Adderall".

(Sorry.....I thought, that was pretty good and wanted to get credit for it before it goes viral)

Thank you. Thank you all very much. No, thank you. Really. You're too kind.

If I can get another dozen views before this thread is locked or merged I will count this a roaring success.

As you once told me in a not so kind retort:

"Who cares!"

But I am helping your view count and now more than you have replied to this.

I think I gave you the benefit of a question mark, anyway.

But, thanks, Doc!

I know that last season, a minority of NFL fans held the Green Bay game against us as if we cheated or something. Then after the whole Adderall issue with Sherman and Browner, we started to hear "cheaters" being mentioned more and more. Now that yet another Seahawk, our 2012 1st round pick no less, has been busted for potentially the same thing, what do you think the chances are that we're going to be stuck with being called cheaters throughout 2013 no matter what the team accomplishes?

It already came up a lot in mixed forums and now it's going to be a cacophony...and I love it! People are afraid of the bad guys. If other teams literally think all our guys are on steroids (which aderall is probably a cover for), they're going to be intimidated.

I'm glad Seattle has a bad boy rep now. When I was a kid, we were the good guys and I hated the Raiders because they were thugs and cheaters...and they usually beat us. When we beat the Saints in the play-offs and lost to Chicago, I was infuriated because their corners "cheated" all game long, pushing and holding our guys. I wondered why WE didn't teach our corners to do that, if they weren't going to call it. I'm glad I'm on the other side of the fence now. My team is the thugs. My team is playing close to the line and sometimes over it. That it pisses off other teams' fans is so much the better.

Folks get cowed by public opinion too much and it affects their game. They shouldn't take majority opinion so to heart. When Tiger Woods had his scandal, he should have said, "screw you all, I'm Tiger Woods, I do what I want." That he didn't cost him several years of his career. By acting beaten he only emboldened the critics. How impotent they would have looked if he smugly ignored them.

If we had magical forensics and could discover all the people who'd used banned substances in sports for the last generation, most of our sports history would be in tatters. It's insane to be sanctimonious under those circumstances. Cycling history is now a joke. Whoever's inherited the prizes hasn't been subjected to a 10 million dollar witch hunt.

I don't care if guys use steroids. I want to see what heights the athlete can be pushed to. Maybe I'd support it if it could be universally enforced, but it can't, never can be, and the illusion it can is making a mockery of the process. If we're really concerned about fairness, how about we force athletes to normalize their hormone profiles to compete? I don't see what's so impressive about a guy who can hit a ball further than me cos his body secretes a little more testosterone than I do. He didn't earn that.
