So in DKs interview he mentioned on that play the ball was supposed to go to Tyler, but Wilson decided otherwise. Some ask if Wilson every goes against the calls, well yes, he is just not vocal about it. Sometimes actions speak louder than words. You don't need to yell at a coach to get your point across. PS the throw to Tyler was there, but not enough to get the 1st.

You make everyone want to dislike Russell more then we should.

I wouldn't put it that way. True, they did say that DK was not the primary on that play, but Russ spotted it and went with it.

Oh, and BTW, from the replay I saw, Lock was pretty open and it looked like he had a path where he might have made the first. But as usual, Russ made the right throw and DK came down with a heluva catch in clutch time.

Are you trolling or do you not understand how football plays work? I’ll assume the latter.

When Schottenheimer calls a play each receiver has a route each blocker has their assignments. Every passing play has a number one receiver. A quarterbacks job is to read the field and decide if that first route is open or covered then move to the next receiver and continue through this progression until he finds someone he can throw the ball to. On this play DK wasn’t the primary receiver but that doesn’t mean the he wasn’t part of the many options the play calls for. This has nothing to do with RW jacking the coaches and everything to do with him understanding how to read defenses and make plays

Yup. Schottenheimer calls a play with many options and Wilson is that type of great QB who can read a field and make the right throw. This is why Pete trusts him to make those big plays downfield so often.

Ahh hmm really I seem to recall a certain Sb play called which was a timing route to a specific Wr and the HC said that was the only place he was allowed to go with the ball. I also recall a Wr screen that got blown up and there was someone ls open but PC said in the interview on Wr screen the ball can only go to the WR. These are plays that are designed to go to specific people and only to them. There is a reason for that, most timing routes are like that, most screen passes are like that. In this case given it was a Wr screen, there not supposed to be any other choice as you don't have time, however Wilson saw something pre snap, and he went someplace else and it worked, despite it being a WR screen that is only suppose to go to one place. Now was it to send a message? I am not sure but I could see it being a message.

Primary is an option and if Lockett was not where Russell thought he could get the first and DK had steps as the second it wasn't really a bad option.

First off screens are designed to go to one place the majority of the time because everyone else is designed to block. This is obviously not the case today. DK wasn’t out blocking he was running a route this he was another option. That could have been the original design or Wilson could have audibles at the line but DK was definitely an option from the snap of the ball. Whether he was primary or secondary doesn’t really change that.

What are you disagreeing with? The part that DK was a secondary option? That was your premise.

The part where RW read the defense and made the right call? Again part of your premise?

The part where Wilson May audible at times but is well within our offensive scheme while doing so?

Dude, you are just incoherent on this one. How ironic that you waste our time with a couple incoherent posts then rag on others as a waste of time then spew your unrelated agenda while insulting and attacking others. Wow.
Is that what they mean by triple-threat option? Be incoherent, be hypocritical, and remember to attack and name-call others?

Not that I'm any better in pointing this out, but your couple posts in this thread are head-scratchers.

Watch the play again

Eagles show all out blitz

RW puts out both arms and wiggles his hands

Metcalf puts out both hands and shakes his hands as a response and to tell the other two WRs next to him what RW just signaled

Not sure if audible from run to pass or from one receiver to another, but it was clearly a signal and clearly picked up

Lynch didn't really change position or look at it so more related to hot route or something is likely

I am disagreeing that he was a secondary option, but a decoy to get people away form Lockett. DK did not say Lockett was the 1st option, nor did anyone, only that the ball was supposed to go to Locket. Now you could be right, but I could be as well, that it was a screen and was to go to lockett but Wilson chose not to, not because it was a 2nd option, IN fact DK said. "The ball was supposed to go to Lockett, and I looked up and all of a sudden saw the ball coming, That means he did not t even except it. Which means he was not supposed to be an option, this was a screen period. So thats were we can disagree, you dont want to see the possibility that Wilson just ignored where he was supposed to go, and while I agree my assessment could be wrong there is ample evidence it could be right. So agree to disagree

Okay then again DK said in his interview the play was for Lockett he was running and looked up and there it was. This is from DKs mouth, he was not expecting the ball he said it. Why do you think I did not post this until after his interview, because I was not sure till his interview. Now as to was this a message or not, who knows but the reality is it was done.

The point is every half way decent quarterback in the league makes these decisions a dozen times a game and Russell probably did it dozen time before this one. This isnt Oklahoma St. one read spread offesne were running here.

Assuming DK was a decoy and the ball was absolutely not going his way and he shouldn’t even be looking for it as a secondary option. Assuming that is a fact then wouldn’t it be dumb if Wilson to throw that ball? Doesn’t it make
Ore sense to be a second option or an audible called at the line

Let’s say it was an audible or he was secondary. Wouldn’t DK also say the call wasn’t meant for him and that’s what the deal was?

I for one want the receiver and QB on the same page. A receiver who thinks the ball isn’t coming his way isn’t one you want to ball going to

I for one want the receiver and QB on the same page. A receiver who thinks the ball isn’t coming his way isn’t one you want to ball going to

And that is why I said you could be right but it could also be as I said, Maybe after not even looking for the pass a game or so ago, DK realized he should always look back even if it is not meant for him. Like I said all I know is what I saw, and what DK said, and every thing he said leads to the ball was meant for lockett and Wilson went to DK who was not expecting it. If your an NFL WR and you are not expecting the pass that means either you missed the signal, or it was a set pass, meaning to only one person, thankfully DK learned from a few games ago and looked. Maybe DK is being coy and as you said there was s signal and Wilson changed the play, that is also good as some here say he does not do it or do it enough. I did not see a signal and going by what DK said well you know what I think.

As I said I can see how you could be right, I can see how my original premise could be right, so we are left with agreeing to disagree.

All I am saying is base don what I saw and DK said what I am saying is possible and what I think happened your can disagree it is your right.

I just listened to his post game press conference and I’m not getting what you are. If there’s some audio out there of him saying the things you are quoting can you link them? All I’ve found so far was a short snippet after the game and his official press conference.
