What I would like to see happen during the All Star break.

Why pull your ace all year pitching a shut out at 87 pitches. This is was unheard of 15-20 years ago.

True, but it's pretty common now a days. Significant injuries to starting pitchers is also a lot more common now a days than it used to be. Pretty sure the Astros denied one of their pitchers a chance at a complete game no hitter twice this year.

And for the record, I agree with both of you guys. I think they should have sent Logan back out there to pitch the 8th. We really needed that game, and our bullpen has become so inconsistent and unreliable.

SoulfishHawk is starting to get it. Weird thing Servais has been pretty good at handling the pitching since he's been here. Besides the Robbie Ray debacle he's been pretty good. And right before a break. This being extra careful thing is a joke. Esp. when you have some injuries in the bullpen. He has cost us several games this year, imo.

Dude is making 23.5 mil. That's pretty rich for how much he strikes out. Also, he has a TON of protection in that lineup.

And a HR contest has nothing to do with how great a player is.

I was really hoping the M's would do something for the race, but now the All star week is over, M's are out of first place, I"m having 2nd thoughts. We seem to have a tremendous farm system that is what, a year, 2 years away. I"m now for signing the pitchers we like to longer term deals and wait for the talent in a year or 2. We've waited this long, another year or 2 isn't going to matter.
