Found .net while searching for folks (fellow fans) to party with in Houston.

Ended up meeting and making friends with Scott (Houston Hawk).

Him and I ended up hosting a decent tailgate party for the shoeless Sherm comeback win.

Post up if you made that game/party

For a year after you could buy Matt Schaub burgers all around Houston.

OK...Another thread talking about old times brought me to thinking who here has been here and since when? I know the little part on the left states when everyone started, but I know that's not accurate because the system changed at some point and that's when we had to take new start dates.

If memory serves me right...I started back in either end of 00 or beginning of 01.

Who else....Todd..sorry you don't count man being the father of the Net..with much respect of course!

Also...fondest memory of the Net...for some reason..the napkin comes to mind. Anyone recall? For all newbies...feel free to chime in because you're family here too!

I joined officially in 2009. I probably found the site years earlier. I remember the post game summaries from the TABS. I think that’s what he was called. I loved reading these!

Whatever happened to Tabs? I liked him . He would always end his post with " it's a great time to be a Hawks fan ...because the Tabs said so".

I have mostly lurking, sometimes posting on gameday since the early 2000s. Prior to Scout. It was prior to the "UFO landing" update to .Net. 2001 or so.

My .Net membership has lasted longer than my marriage!

I still chuckle to myself whenever anyone refers to a player as mannnnnnn.

Sometimes I'm tempted to say that a player signed... a parking ticket, but I always assume nobody will know what the hell I'm talking about.

For all my Jalen Milroe bashing, I fear I will never hate him, or any man, as much as that one guy hated David Greene. I'm a Seahawks/Buckeyes fan, with an ex-wife who was a Michigan fan. I don't hate Jim Harbaugh as much as that guy hated David Greene.

I know I'm alone on this, but I miss that guy with the hot girlfriend who used to post revealing pictures of herself in skimpy Seahawks gear. I think she left because nobody liked her. I'd be all "damn, you're not ugly", and everyone else would be like "put on a sweater!".

Ive posted over 1000 times on here since 2014 on just this account. Bet if ya didnt look youd think I was brand new. Prior to this I started at the very beginning as something else but I have no access to that email. Was also a member Seahawkblue. There was a dude named HeavyD who was really cool back in the late 90s. Another legend was Riverdawg I believe?

This place got a little too toxic for me, I blocked a lot of people, and it got better, but in the end, it just became too depressing, folks here were too quick to agree with Eastern media over pro bowl snubs and Hall of Fame snubs. I kind of stopped thinking of it as a fan site and more as a hater site. I lurked here a little this season but never posted once. I mostly harass Rich Eisen in his YouTube comments section for being a Seahawk hater. I invest much more energy in YouTube now. Commenting often in HawkBlogger and LockedOnSeahawks. I have followed both of them daily since OTAs. I knew this team was going to be great since training camp. The Kansas City preseason game to be specific as they crushed a few KC starters.

Moved to Las Vegas in 2012 after my divorce, frequented Scooters Pub which is a Seahawks bar in Vegas. Ever get the chance if your in Vegas...go to it. Sherman's mom signed a picture and it is on the wall. Just tell the cab or Uber Scooters Pub, off the 215 and Rainbow.

When I visited Seattle in 1996, I then flew to Vegas to stay with a friend and his family. I'd met him on Echoes, the Pink Floyd mailing list. He barracked for the San Diego Chargers, and took me to a bar called Big Dogs at Sahara (I think that was the full name?), which was a Chargers bar. I lost contact with him many years ago, and shudder to think what he thinks of the Chargers now being in LA, and no idea if he follows the LV Raiders.

Moved to my current home in Prescott, Arizona in 2021. Just resigned back up and I am back.

Ridiculous bit of utter trivia - that's where Alan Dean Foster (sci-fi author) lives. I used to be active on the ADF Message Board.

I can't remember exactly when. But for a couple of years before the website switched to a new format or a different site, I can't remember what happened. I lost all my credentials and post count, so I had to start over.

Same thing happened to me; I never cared about my post count until it was gone, then was a bit sad.
