Kupp would be a nice story, but I don't know that he has a spot on this team. His game is real similar to JSN, just older with health concerns.

We won't be running a lot of 3 and 4 WR sets either, so paying a guy $10M per to sit on the bench doesn't make a lot of sense.
Kupp and Nacua are very similar it worked well in LA. Having two deceptive “slot” receivers gives us a huge advantage especially if our O Line continues to suck and Darnold needs to get the ball out quick. Find your next deep threat in the draft.

A Kupp signing could lower our WR draft urgency from day 2 to 3 and enable us to use a higher pick on a dynamic TE to pair with Barner. Plus injury insurance.
MVS, JSN, Kupp, Bobo.
Bid high.

Rumor it would take 12M per, that seems a little high...? Hopefully JS goes toe to toe with Jerry, this would be a huge signing. A decision could come today.
If it's between Dallas and Seattle, I think we have the inside track considering :

1.) He's a local guy

2.) We're not Dallas. 🙃

Kupps coach at Eastern is the WR coach in Dallas. It's Coopers call, we want him, how bad does he want to reach Dr. Dan Doornink status? If winning a SB was a factor, home is the place to be.

The Rams run a lot of 3-4 WR sets. We're going to be running 12, 13, and 22 personnel. So, an X receiver (MVS) and a Z (JSN). No slot.

Neither Kupp nor JSN really have the speed to play the X, so Kupp would only hit get on the field if JSN needed a break or got hurt.

Exactly, I really doubt Kupp ends up here. I think he gets mentioned merely because of where he grew up and our need at WR. The fit doesn't seem to match our needs.

If his choice is between Seahawks and Cowboys and he wants to win, he should ask Demarcus Lawrence.

Jerry is a cheapskate so it should be interesting. A battle of the two cheapskates: Jerry and John.

(Chill John fanboys, it's a joke....sort of)

I read that Kupp's preference is Denver.

My belief is that Kupp is the primary reason that Puca Nacua was able to walk into the NFL and be as good as he is. That's basically unheard of these days for any WR, let alone a slot that has so many decisions as the route unfolds. Then add the positioning and body control.... Kupp isn't worth 12mill per, but if he can raise JSN's level of play like (I believe) he raised Nacua's, he's worth more than face value and probably 10+/- ...in my opinion.

Also, I hope JSN can be more than a carbon copy of Kupp. There should be opportunities for JSN to play wideout with Kupp in the slot depending on who else winds up as X (probably from the draft, maybe MVS?).
