I think it'll come down to us or the Donks. I realize he's not the player he once was, but I still think there's something left in the tank.

Being reported it’s down to Seattle and Dallas. Schefter reporting,Dallas made push, but not considered landing spot. Maybe Zorn needs to give permission to let him wear #10.

Getting Kupp would be huge -- and probably necessary bc after Kupp, there is a big dropoff in talent. JS also has to address the O-line, probably in the draft since he's been noticeably quiet in the free agent market here.

Rumor it would take 12M per, that seems a little high...? Hopefully JS goes toe to toe with Jerry, this would be a huge signing. A decision could come today.

With the exception of JSN, the Seahawk WR corps are very pedestrian. They went from a being one of the deeper groups to one of the weaker ones in a matter of 2 weeks. Signing Kupp would move the needle in the right direction again.

Quiet? He was in on Fries and gave him a solid offer. Minnesota gave him the only FA deal this year more than 3 years. Dalman was hell bent on signing with Ben Johnson, that wasn't an option. Also, Josh Jones is an o-lineman. JS knows he has to address the O-line but there were 2 starters worth signing and they chose other teams. I don't want them giving contracts to guys just to say they signed one. It will be addressed in the draft but they also have a couple young guys that have a chance to make big leaps in year 2 or 3 of their career. They also have the draft capital to try and trade for a veteran (if the right one is available).

As for Kupp, sign me up (on a 2 year deal). He's always been one of my favorite players, playing for a rival.

I have been back and forth on this and I am still not sure. He is incredibly productive when healthy(last year 18 game pace 100 rec/1065 yds/9 TD's) but he hasn't been the last 3 years. Amari Cooper is out there but for some reason couldn't do squat with the Bills last year. If it is $12 mil per year and it doesn't hurt us cap wise this or next year then I would prob roll the dice with one of those guys. I would be surprised if we didn't grab a rookie WR with one of our 1st 3 picks and possibly even package to get another 1st rd if there is someone they really want. Would give us some stability and depth.

Glad to see JS continues to have us in the mix with free agents. With the right protections and incentives a deal with Kupp could be a positive thing on both sides. I guess we’ll see

Rumor is that it’s between Hawks and Cowboys. Yikes!

Kupp is supposed to decide today.

I would rather spend 12M to bring Lockette back but I don't think that is in the cards. Kupp is OK but not worth that money IMO. Better to hold tight and play the draft game.
Wow. I never thought I'd hear that opinion. I am pretty sure that Kupp is head and shoulders above Lockett as a blocker and a receiver. I love lockett but he falls down as soon as he catches the ball and Kupp will fight for every yard on the field.

He might not be the same as a few years back but he pulls defenders to his side with his name alone. Defenses will still have to account for him regardless and he will help JSN and could be a great mentor.

Kupp would be a nice story, but I don't know that he has a spot on this team. His game is real similar to JSN, just older with health concerns.

We won't be running a lot of 3 and 4 WR sets either, so paying a guy $10M per to sit on the bench doesn't make a lot of sense.

You are on the fence? To decide if you will be mad or not?
This is the same portion of the fanbase that thinks JS and Seattle being at the table for just about every FA deal that matters to them — is JS being “quiet”

Just let that one sink in. They are that delusional.
