I'm confused as to how the author could've made such a judgment on Levi's. There hasn't even been a real game held there yet.
Doesn't stop most of the 49ers from predicting that Seattle will go 8-8 this year, not having seen one game yet.

Nor most of the Hawks fans and their annual predictions of the decline of the 49ers. The stadium is nice and will be just fine. It is a huge accomplishment to have actually built the stadium in California, and in one of the most expensive areas at that. There is a reason that this is the first NFL stadium to be built in CA in something like 50 years.
Compared to the toilets that are "the stick" and the Oakland Coliseum, I am sure it's nicer, it should be, it's brand new.
I don't get the butthurt coming from the usual whiner trolls.... I don't know why you cannot just enjoy your new digs and not get so upset when someone (a rival at that) has a differing opinion.

Riiiiiiight.....

...but please tell me another place that has a 40GB connection, the ability to host all 68,500 people SIMULTANEOUSLY and...OBTW....has its own in stadium studio that will offer multiple angles of every replay...from your phone.

If your curious...no stadium in the NFL supports more than 20K simultaneous connections...and NONE offer replays.

...that's on top of ticketless entry, ordering food, DELIVERING food to your seat, etc and numerous other features.

...and that's JUST the wireless. I haven't even mentioned the restaurant, Team Store, Team Museum, and everything else.

...but wait...its sucks. Don't ever come here...and tell all your friends not to come either.

Marvin.. you sick homer.

You know that regardless of how much pipe the place has that the connection to the device is still limited to the client, period. All that broadcast? LMAO... Good luck with all that replay action. Trust me. It is going to be seriously disappointing if even a small percentage of the population use it.

I wonder how they tested capacity and load, by simulating a shitload of wireless connections? We did this in multiple places for 5 figure user population, even tech companies have trouble with that crap when provisioning massive venues. I hope they setup a QoS for ordering food, otherwise dudes aint getting their Jeff Garcia Turd Dog that sounds pretty good and beer because the replay feed is still 5 plays behind and timing out.

It's a great story, but I promise eternal nightmares until people are convinced that it is jacked. Then the 300 people that haven't given up will have a wonderful experience. Yeah... Replays, WHO GIVES A CRAP ABOUT REPLAYS? Now stream me the live feed while I am shitting my Jeff Garcia dog in the 3rd quarter and I will be impressed, but I am telling you, the connections will continue to be unstable, drop, reconnect, pass off to another switch while in the middle of ordering food and there will be a million excuses.

I wonder if I can hack the scoreboard? I have already checked out the app. Hmm.. a website made into mobile version. That's YOUR APP. Good for you Skipper! :thirishdrinkers:

There is documented evidence that if you believe you will love something, you will. It's the mind's way of covering disappointment. Contrary opinions then set off a natural defense lest the facts get in.

You're referring to confirmation bias, and it's as applicable to a 9ers fan quoting an article saying the new stadium is a marvel as it is to a bunch of Hawks fans having a circle jerk over an article saying that the soft open was a mess.

Actually it's a psychosomatic effect to which I'm referring. It goes beyond only looking for evidence to an actual physical change.

Not that it really matters, but psychosomatic effects are exclusively related to the cognitive effects on self-physical evaluation ("somato" == body).

Your quoted post above has nothing to do with the physical body, nor does "covering disappointment" or cognitively coping with "contrary opinions" have anything at all to do with psychomatic effects. Given that your post conveys nothing about physical change and "covering disappointment" and cognitively coping with "contrary opinions" is the standard fare for confirmation bias, we can safely conclude that your "actually" aside, in this instance you're full of it. ;) In fact, "The mind's way of covering disappointment; contrary opinions then set off a natural defense lest the facts get in" is actually a very functional lay definition of confirmation bias, albeit completely unrelated to psychosomatic effects.

It is the default response for Marvin.

When NegaNiner talk occurs, Marvin's feelings are hurt, he doesn't want you to agree with him, he just wants to be understood.

Yup...I want you to understand me when I say the stadium is a pit. Avoid it at all costs.

Has anyone been stabbed yet?

I don't give a shit about the stadium in Santa Clara. No one really cares what the overhyped place is or isn't.

This three page thread at the very top of the the NFL forum - and your active participation in it -- seems to convey otherwise.

In fact, you've "not cared" about the stadium in this thread eleven times so far.

(and yeah, obviously just messing with ya ;) )

You counted my posts? Popeye you FREAK.

Back on topic: No, I really don't care... It wouldn't be the first time I made posts about a subject I don't care about. Of course there is Marvin, with his redundant 49ers sales pitch of Niner awesomeness. He deserves to be slapped on the forehead with a flaccid penis for that. Its like he held an attempt at Niner "Shock and Awe" dropping bombs of minutiae on this board. Defending his Niners faithfully from that horrific attempt at exposing stadium weakness by the writers who posted all that terrible misinformation regarding Levi's.

DID YOU KNOW IT HAS REPLAY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
IT HAS ITS OWN APP!
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY! That really hit home with me. Level: Goosebump.

What more could a Seahawk's fan ask for?

LMAO..

BUT WHAT IF THEY DIDN'T? Or... What if someone made a minor configuration change. I'm serious, people would actually have to get up out of their seats to buy food and it would be a while before they gave up on trying to exploit the counter-intuitive app. Think of the lost money on concessions that the Yorks wouldn't be able to pay Eddie with. His envelope would be light that week.

Or better yet, modify the code for placing the order.

If condiment = 0 Then
apply = papakijuice
ElseIf condiment = 1 Then
apply = kaeperbatter
Else
apply = sammyturd
End If...

VB? Sounds about right for them.... :D

Ha! I guess it is VB isn't it? Good call.. I was just playing around. LOL, well we all know where my roots are now, kind of like breaking out the old school Motorola brick phone around a group of guys with Galaxy S5s.

Niner fans deserve VB. :49ersmall:

Actually, we still have a bunch of pretty serious health monitors running it. Just because we haven't had time to change it.

On a side-note, the 9ers HOF, which I gather is part of the new stadium is not bad. The SI article on it was an interesting read.

The article got a little artsy-fartsy but I like the concept. The 9ers die-hards should have a blast hanging out in the 90 seat theatre and hanging around the statues. Nice conversation piece

Now back to your normally scheduled program. The 9ers suck. :49ersmall: :0190l:

HOLY CRAP YOU GET WIFI AT YOUR STADIUM. GOOD THING YOU SPENT 1.3BILLION NINEROOS TO GET WIFI AT YOUR STADIUM. THIS IS TOTALLY NOT SOMETHING YOU COULD RETROFIT FOR A FEW MILLION. YOU ALSO CAN'T BUILD A NEW SCOREBOARD EITHER (oh wait, the Mariners just spent $10M on a new one).

This stadium is disgusting and I'd be embarrassed if that was my team's place to play. It has nothing to do with it being a SF team (AT&T is one of my top 3 MLB stadiums). The Niners and SC had an opportunity to create a playground for the tech elite, instead they built a sandbox for the homeless.

ORDERING FOOD ON AN APP. HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS CAN'T POSSIBLY BE DONE ANYWHERE ELSE.

This post is 100% legit. I couldn't have made it better myself.

Now that is pretty cool. At least until they try to put Harbaugh and K-Choke in there for making the NFC championship game 3 times in a row.

As the originator of Papaki, I think this is the perfect nickname for the stadium.

Sorry, man. You're correct, I don't show favoritism or bias with my grammar Nazism.

It is known.

Was it the possessive apostrophe? it should have been "Seahawk" if I followed it with an individual instead of a group.

OR... What about Seahawks'

Nah... that is not correct either.
