It's true that Wilson had never thrown an INT in the red zone before. But he'd also already thrown one of his worst INTs (worst as in no extenuating circumstances: didn't hit a receiver's hands, wasn't tipped, wasn't last minute of the game) in a long time earlier in the game, and it was also a short throw over the middle of the field.
My feeling is that we were running so well in that game, I'm not sure I care if they expected it. Lynch was on a mission. He was pissed about not getting to run it in the game before. The call just seemed tone deaf.
Not second guessing either. That down is one I specifically had a strong opinion about before the play and that opinion was give the ball to Lynch. I was excited about it. I thought he was going to score. So it was a pretty big let down.
