12-5 is still in play baby!!!!
Cards were 1 point favorites, agreed not favored in your mind. I thought it was fair they were 1 point faves given media talking points of "Murray's best season ever", "Unstoppable run game", "Trey McBride dominating opponents" and wins over the 49ers and Rams, PLUS Media/Vegas didn't really expect a repeat of the Hawk defense's "fluke" performance, because of the "Seattle can't stop the run" narrative.Niners was an upset, Cards was not an upset. It was a good battle between pretty evenly matched teams.
Far be it from me to argue incessantly over unimportant matters. Your take is more than reasonable, and better informed than "the line". I was simply repeating the Media/Vegas "underdog" take, which favored the "Blue Mirage" version of Seattle's D and doesn't realize Pete Carroll isn't the coach anymore. They have no concept of how EJ IV and Tyrice Knight make this a different defense. Nor could they predict Olu playing well after the starting Center abruptly retires.Ok, fine, it was somehow an upset to lose to a team that we're better than. Again, it's not important in the least. I don't think it was an upset, that's MY opinion.

I don't believe it's 3 anymore for the home team. I think it's now something like 1.5 if I'm not mistaken.Being a 1 point underdog, as the visiting team, means they believe you are 2 points better than the home team. By default, home team is favored by 3 if the teams are evenly matched.
Niners were favored by 6.5 points at kickoff.
