Sorry, but this loner doesn't agree that the social aspect of gathering to watch a game rule. If I care about the game being played, I want to watch it, not be sidetracked by small talk with others. I don't care about the game, and I'm not really a party person, so I won't be participating.
Do you.

You could call this the Swifty Exit Bowl, Kelce is pretty much done I think.

Hate the matchup, but it still should be a hell of a game. 38-35 last time they played in the SB just a couple years ago. No reason to think this game won't be good. I get why some people won't watch though.

I've watched every single Super Bowl live. I'm not going to break that streak.

But I will admit that I'm getting somewhat fatigued with the Chiefs, Travis Kelce, and the Taylor Swift nonsense, similar to the fatigue I experienced with Tom Brady and the Patriots a few years ago.

Only entire one i ever skipped was Rams Patriots and watched a few plays or parts of other bad match ups. I'm thinking now I'm adding this one to that list as i hate both teams but wife wants to watch it to see if the marriage proposal happens in the confetti at games end. Like a good majority of the viewers the game itself is way down the list than the potential storylines...it'll be great theatre I am sure...

Definitely will be watching; I love football.

Beyond that though, it makes for a fun Sunday afternoon in February. Day drinking, gambling, snacking and good food, hanging with friends, and Super Bowl squares - just makes for an all around good time.

Football wise, I find it to be a pretty compelling matchup. Rooting for the 3peat, as I have an affinity for excellence and really appreciate the standard that the Chiefs maintain during a time when there is a lot of bad football being played.

Yep. Everyone has their own thing. I'll actually be out in Vegas that weekend. Always a blast, esp. for people watching.
First time in several years I'm not hosting a SB party.

Definitely going to watch it. I'm a football fan and an NFL fan, so the game is of historical interest to me. Plus you have a team going for what's never been done before, win three SB's in a row led by arguably the greatest player in major American team sports since Michael Jordan. Philly has one of the best offensive line in years, and a RB who's having an historical season. To top it off, they're probably the two best teams from their conferences, setting up what could be an epic battle. So many other interesting characters and subplots as well. What's not to like if you're a football fan?

I will say, however, that the SB is way over the top for my tastes. I much prefer NFC/AFC championship weekend where the game is played on a home field with real fans of the team, and there is a lot less non-football related stuff going on around it. Hell, I even prefer the divisional round of playoffs more. I'm just not into the spectacle that it became over the years.

Sweet.

I've never done Vegas for the Super Bowl (have done the divisional round weekend quite a few times; and the first weekend of March Madness most years) but I bet it is a blast to be there for the big game.

I'm not going to watch it cause I truly don't care who wins. Probably just make the head to the beach or see a movie, or something.

Will not be watching...I've skipped Super Bowls 43, 45, 46, 47, 51, 52, 53 already - because of my hatred of the Steelers & Patriots. The Chiefs have now reached that level. I already hated Travis Kelce even before the Taylor Swift thing, but she makes watching them unbearable.
