That guy (goldfinger, formerly known as TIMD before he got banned) only ever posts to bash the M's and M's fans. It's literally all he does. It's a long season and that dude is relentless. It gets old and people get tired of it, so yeah, some people push back from time to time. If you think that makes people "soft", fine, but I'd disagree.
All I do is bash the M's & M's fans huh? Ok. Well I stated last night that I hoped I was wrong about predicting their loss early. See unlike you relentless homers who refuse to see reality, I can. Just because I'm a fan of the team, doesn't mean I can't be impartial. What did I say last night in any post that was incorrect? I bashed the starting pitching, which has been horrendous, true or false? I bashed "Good Vibes Geno" because he sucks. Does he or does he not? What about Randy at leadoff? He sucks. Does he or doesn't he? The pitching has been injured & overrated this year, true or false? Jerry wasted 2024 when the pitching was healthy, true or false? This bullpen is short at least 1 arm, especially since these starters can't get past 3 innings, true or false? Oh & "he didn't say anything during the games in Toronto"..... Maybe that's because I was waiting for the reality of Mariners baseball to show up in Seattle. You guys all thought Toronto was going to just lay down & die while "Good Vibes" is what the M's needed despite their terrible hitting & probably worse starting pitching. I can come on here & cheerlead just like everyone else, but I prefer to view the games impartially. By the way, they only beat Detroit because they were worst hitting team in the post season. That lineup was garbage.

I think Canzone will get more time. He was hitting well before the play offs. JP probably will too but I wouldn't have him as SS.

Arozarena has been so disappointing this play off run. I get why they traded for Geno and if we had the Diamondbacks version we'd all be buzzing, it hasn't worked out though.

Biggest disappointment this series has been pitching. It's supposed to be our strong point and both Kirby and Castillo got absolutely shelled at home.
I'd like to see if that kid coming up can play short.. then if JP is still here, move him to 2nd possibly.

I have no idea what you said last night. All I've seen from your posts over the course of the season is varying degrees of how the M's suck and how M's fans are dumb homers or whatever so I don't bother reading your posts anymore. I just keep scrolling.

A serious club makes big changes after witnessing the horrible offense the team put on display in the playoffs. ~.215 team batting average over the course of the whole postseason isn’t acceptable.

Canzone is barely above .100
Robles is batting .115
Randy is batting .158
Geno is rocking .162
JP and Julio are barely above .200

If no one is getting on base there’s just zero pressure on the opposing pitchers. After the 1-5 hitters are dispatched, the next 4 are just doing squat. Leadoff with Randy at .158 is a complete waste so really you’re hoping to do damage with 2-5 or a miracle that the trash can bottom of the order actually does something.

Meanwhile Toronto is batting .300 as a club all up in the postseason and gets tangible contributions across their lineup.

Can’t be solved now of course but if I see the exact same lineup we have practically copy pasta’d this whole postseason my confidence the results vs the last two days will be any different is near zero. Miller could pitch another gem but if we can’t get this anemic offense to do something I’m not really sure it matters at all.

Exactly. So maybe you shouldn't make a blanket comment. And no I don't just say "M's suck". You get caught up in that because in your view, everyone has to fan exactly the same & can't be critical of management and/or players. Can't have any dissenting thoughts here or people get blocked or banned, it's crazy. The only time I say anything about fans being "homers" is when they clearly are. I provide reasons why the "M's suck" as you say. And good luck to the M's tonight in Game 5. Only need an injured Miller to go above & beyond & pitch amazing again. Doubtful, but it would be nice. Maybe the M's can actually hit Gousman tonight, doubtful but it would be nice. Don't get mad at the messenger because this organization constantly lets down it's fan base with sub par rosters. The M's are a heavy underdog tonight because of management, not because I say they suck.

For a second there I was actually considering responding to the content of your post, but we've had similar discussions before, and quite frankly, they're a pointless waste of time. So how about you go back to your relentless bashing of the Mariners, and I'll go back to simply scrolling past your posts? Deal?

Don't bother, Chapow. You'd have better luck clapping with one hand. Dude is the biggest whiner in the history of this board. Truly dedicated to misery.

Like I said before, his post history clearly sums up who he is. I went back, and no where does he get excited for us beating Detroit or stealing the first two games in Toronto. But best believe when we lost game 3 and 4 at home, a lot of posts bashing the team.

Well that's just him being the impartial voice of reason, unlike all of us dumb homers that get excited when they win.

And don't forget, he'll tell you that you're satisfied with just winning and/or you don't care if they make the WS. And that you should boycott the team. So predictable.

And yet, strangely enough, we won our division, were a top two playoff seed, won the divisional round, and are tied 2-2 in the ALCS. You talk as if we were one of the bottom dwelling teams in the league this year when we're one of the four remaining teams still alive while 26 teams are already dead and buried for the year.

There's nothing wrong with being critical of the franchise on any number of counts, but to do so without acknowledging and enjoying the success the team has had this year makes you look like bottomless pit of disappointment. Not exactly fun to be around. You remind me of the worst kind of parent, the kind of parent a child can never please.

Arozarena and Suarez back-to-back. There's 2 outs. I'm sure their pitchers will be so soooooooo scared of those 2 guys
