I, for the life of me, will never understand going to another fanbase message board to talk sh** about their team. Just don’t have the time more than anything…and the time I do have I’d prefer to chat with folks who enjoy talking about their home teams, rather than taking troll shots on an entire fanbase that’s here to talk about those teams. That’s the definition of a TROLL

Good for you, but you know damn well that many fans do.

Nobody's ignoring you over "opposing views". You're being intentionally disingenuous. You came in here making comments about Seattle sports fans being sellouts knowing full well that would push people's buttons and then pretending to be surprised when it pushed people's buttons. You intentionally said something you knew would offend people just so you could act like people were being overly sensitive if they were offended. Now you're acting like a victim who did nothing wrong and can't understand why anyone would have an issue with anything you said. What you're doing isn't original or clever, it's very obvious and transparent. You're trolling.
Seattle fans do sell out though...I've seen first hand at a ton of seahawks games I've personally attended and then most recently week 1. Sorry but most people think its a bandwagon fan base and while no doubt many fans including a ton here likely meet your definition of die hard.. a large base dont...and I haven't just started saying to get under mariners fans skin. I've said it long before so no it is not trolling...Mariners games aren't exactly a sell out or historically desirable. In fact only a select few even participate in this forum. I will say it for the Jays as well...it an incredibly bandwagon fan base once they get into the playoffs. I would also expect and see a ton of people selling off tickets to make a buck. A real fan goes to the game and watches.

Ill bow out of this thread as I seem to be mostly the only one pro Jays and the presence of opposition here is stirring the hornets nest. I actually rank the Mariners high on my list of teams id cheer for but not above the Jays. Besides some real minor banter rubbing salt in a bit I think have been very mild...but guess that level is just too offensive for the Mariners sub forum. Good luck the rest of the way and go Jays! 🇨🇦

Yeah my ignore list on this site is the largest of any online forum I participate in. Mostly trolls.

Offense will end up being the reason we don't make it. Some serious decisions in the off season. Geno has done nothing.
At the minimum, got a lot farther than most of us thought. Then again, every time the look done, they come back. Miminal confidence, but it's not over until it's over.

Sadly, Toronto is just flat out a better baseball team. And right now, it doesn't even look close.

It's extremely odd. I wouldn't go to an opposing site if you paid me. But, Cyrus is fine. At least he's a Hawks fan 🤷

From my standpoint, it’s a case of them not being aware of their surroundings and not knowing the audience or simply not caring about those two things. Either way it’s trolling and I just block them since I don’t really care to chat with someone that is all good with being chummy over the team they like (because their city doesn’t have one) then vile in response when they do have one, on the forum hosting Seattle based teams discussion. Is disingenuous. If you like the Seahawks that’s great but don’t come bashing the Mariners and expect to do so without pushback.

Also don’t expect me to care what your thoughts on the Seahawks are after that display of two faced behavior.

So for this casual bandwagon M's fan, what's the feeling for tonight? They got smoked yesterday and I understand that happens. What's the temp of the M's diehards here? Rebound? More of the same? I am with Soulfish on this one...I think the M's get 1 and it goes back to Toronto leading 3-2.

Although I would LOVE for the M's to handle their business tonight and win it tomorrow as we are hosting a Halloween party and M's diehards will be there so the game will be on. Would be amazing to see them clinch the World Series invitation at the party!
As a diehard fan I am struggling to not feel like this is the same old bullshit different year…. So we made it past the tigers… now we are back to all or nothing swinging and no is getting the all… it’s not over but it feels like old mariners crap

Whatever criticism you have of the Mariners, ownership, front office, coaching staff, roster construction, however legitimate such criticisms may be, if at the beginning of the season you as an M's fan were offered the division title, a top two playoff seed, a divisional round victory, and a 2-2 tie in the ALCS series, any reasonable M's fan would have taken that in a heartbeat over the otherwise unknown.
"Close, but no cigar" only takes you so far. Even if this is further than we thought we'd get, the same ol' story rings true: too little, too late.

The Mariners are *still* the only team to never reach the world series. Anything short of the world series is still a disappointment.

If you care about winning, it's always a disappointment when you lose, no matter who you are, when you do, or how you do.

Yep, if you look at the lineups for Seattle, Toronto and LA you’ll see a huge difference in talent in the 6-9 spots. These have mostly been unproductive ABs and easy outs/innings for Seattles offense. That 54% mentality got them into the dance but we’re going to need to add on more to be competitive at the level required once we get in.

I am still holding onto hope that the team can wake up before the train leaves, but this should be a huge wake up call that the job of the FO isn’t done by a long shot.

Julio and cal and EuGeNo and Rozy have all been easy outs… our whole team has been easy outs except Naylz and he is already packing his sonics jersey back up

It's been a great run. But all the trade deadline did was increase the number of bats from 3 to 4. Great first step, IF they can keep Naylor, but we're not done.

They absolutely need to sign Naylor. Next year should be interesting with some of the top non pitching prospects expected to make the major league roster- Emerson, Montez. Hopefully Williamson can also take a step forward offensively. I'm not sure what they do with Harry Ford. He looks like he might be a good hitter but we have Cal unless they DH him, have Ford as the backup and cut Garver. Seems like a waste for Ford though and might be worth seeing what you get in a trade.

They have got to get some veterans that can hit for average and decent power. We can’t have 4 great bats and 5 clunkers. Way too many innings completely wasted 3 up 3 down.

Plus, a certain poster got what he wanted. The M's losing. I stick to my opinion, that dude WANTS them to fail, so he can pump his chest out. So fricken strange and creepy. But...........to each his/her own.

It absolutely IS a disappointment. However, I've had an absolute blast this year and this post season. It's not going to take away my appreciation. Of course, I'll get told I'm satisfied with ALCS. NO, I'M NOT.

I love Geno but he needs to go, again. Jerry was right for trading him the first time. He stalls this lineup every at bat. A momentum killer if we have any. I've been saying for 20 years this team needs players that hit for average in this ballpark. I know the game is "not that way anymore" but that's the difference between the Blue Jays and Mariners. Blue jays at least make things happen and put the ball in play. You're not doing shit if you get a hit then pop out in the infield or strikeout every at bat after.

Canzone, Robles, Raley, Arozarena, Geno, Garver and JP can all go in my opinion.

Even if we somehow get past the Blue Jays which I don't see happening, both the Dodgers and Brewers have owned us as well. This is not a properly built team, we are lucky to be where we are. I'm enjoying it but this is not a championship caliber team, and unfortunately getting this far is going to send false hope that this team is good enough to contend in the minds of our Upper management.

I think Canzone will get more time. He was hitting well before the play offs. JP probably will too but I wouldn't have him as SS.

Arozarena has been so disappointing this play off run. I get why they traded for Geno and if we had the Diamondbacks version we'd all be buzzing, it hasn't worked out though.

Biggest disappointment this series has been pitching. It's supposed to be our strong point and both Kirby and Castillo got absolutely shelled at home.
