I can't believe I may see a Mariners world series appearance in my lifetime! If you'd have told me this was even possible a year ago I'd have thought you were insane.

Worth mentioning the Jays only struck out five times. There could have been more damage. Our pitching is firing on all cylinders right now, but they're not here for no reason.

When Ms took the lead right back on Polonco's three-run homer after it was tied 3-3, and just about everything that happened after that, was some of the most fun Mariners ball I've watched in a while. It's incredible that they're now just two wins away from punching their ticket to the WS. I'd love to see it happen by Game 5!

It's crazy that that the start of both games so far the blue jays started hot and you think oh here we go, we're in for a battle only for both to end up extremely comfortable in the end. I dont think Gilbert had his best stuff today but it didn't really matter. He wasn't helped by the umpire who was awful for both teams.
I think its helped us so far that the blue jays don't have a skubal type pitcher and John Schneider isnt as good as aj hinch in key moments.

I don't see them getting past Castillo or Kirby if they couldn't get past Miller or a tired looking Gilbert.

Along with my daughter and BIL, I'll be attending Game 4 in Seattle. We're hoping to be witnesses to a truly historic occasion.
I'm good with Wilson starting Logan Gilbert even though he got roughed up. He didn't have a lot of good options. He could have started Castillo, but like Gilbert, he'd pitched in that 15-inning marathon last Friday. Or he could have started Emerson Hancock, but he was coming off the DL, and we saw how shaky he looked. Gilbert hadn't exactly pitched a marathon, having thrown just 34 pitches.
Another stellar performance out of the bullpen yesterday, shutting out the Jays for 7 straight innings, and we didn't have to burn up our top relievers, guys like Brash and Munoz, so they'll be well rested for tomorrow. This is one of the best home run hitting teams I can remember watching, and they sure produced yesterday.
I was hoping to see Bryan Woo pitch in Game 4, but I see that they've named Castillo as the starter. But first things first. George Kirby, who had a strong outing in that 15-inning game against the Tigers, gets the start. I'm optimistic that we can close this thing out in Seattle. We're 25-7 at home since July 31st, and the Jays have to take 2 out of 3 just to get the series back to Toronto.

And Shane Bieber is their starter for game 3. He's still a good pitcher, even after having Tommy John surgery in 2024. He only started 7 games this year, after experiencing some setbacks in his rehab. But he's been solid this year, with a WHIP of 1.01 and an ERA of 3.57. He's not the pitcher he was in 2020, when he won the Cy Young and came in 4th in MVP voting, but he's still pretty good.
You have to feel good about our chances, but Toronto's not going to go down easy.
