You know I was pissed it took 15 innings to win game 5 vs Detroit. Even after they won it was more of irrational feeling than elation probably heightened by alcohol consumption of trying to drown out the thought that this could be over for Mariners and the fact i dont drink too much these days.

It felt like Mariners was going to come out flat to start the ALCS and it was going to take Woo coming back and dominating plus all 7 games.

The only silver lining I gave myself is that is that those gut-wrenchers of ALDS games would add up in overall vital experience from management to players and be another spark to galvanize everyone together. And the Mariners would be better off for it both in strategy and gameplay and be even more ready to handle the type of pressure that currently sits on their shoulders of being the guys taking this city and its fans to WS.

I was hoping we’d scrap and fight for 1 win in Toronto if you had told me we’d be 2-0, outscoring a team that just put up 34 runs vs the Yankees, with the M’s scoring 13 runs, and allowing 4 runs overall. I wouldn’t have believed it was possible.

This team is showing anything is possible.
