The 49ers should have just cut Aiyuk in March with a post June 1st designation. They're delaying the cut as long as possible into 2026 to hurt Aiyuk's chances of earning another NFL contract with another team. It won't hurt the 49ers in relation to Aiyuk, but if you're a UFA player looking at the 49ers in the future - well, it's a reason not to go there if you have a similar offer somewhere else.

"What do you mean speeding and manipulating a cell phone at the same time is illegal?"

49ers are basically just ignoring him. He can cry on social media all he wants. Makes no difference and applies zero pressure for the 49ers to do something. Whenever asked, the team always just says their phones are on for any interested party.

Here's the deal tho....He will be on the "did not report" list. That means they don't have to do anything. Ever.

If he continues to ghost the team and fail to report, they don't have to pay him. They don't have to release him. He can rot at home.

So...49er are simply ignoring him. The only place where there is noise on this is on social media and on TV.

If Commanders want him, they can trade for him or they can wait for Aiyuk to report. Its really that simple.

49ers have no reason to give him what he wants. They won't set precedent that a player can take a 50 mil and then ghost the team.

I do think it could hurt future FA's. I can guarantee Seattle would've just cut him and moved on from it if it was this bad.

If Aiyuk doesn't show up, and isn't traded or released, does the upcoming season "count" on his contract? Or do the whiners keep his rights in perpetuity because he isn't fulfilling it? I've seen players show up briefly just to get credit for the season but I don't think I've seen this specific scenario before.

He not keeping the $50 million, they can take up to like $30 million of it back
right now, as it stands.

Apparently NFL players are just modern-day slaves according to Aiyuk now. I guess this clown has never had a job before? An employer? Junior highs, high schools, and colleges treating these guys like Gods and letting them get away with murder sure continues to work out well and result in them being well-adjusted adults...

The dude is off his rocker. It used to be funny. Now its sad.

He's straight up lying now and refusing to take any responsibility.

He said this morning that the 49ers were lying to fans that the guaranteed money was voided during the season and not in July. The day after the story came out, Shanahan told reporters it happened in July. He says he told the team he wasn't going to play after guarantees were voided but the team kept saying they expected him back.

Yeah Brandon, they said that because you were contractually obligated to play and had already received 50 mil.

That's why he's on the Left Squad list.

From a fan standpoint I'm really beyond this stuff. I haven't considered him a member of the team for some time and they have already replaced him.

At this point its just him screaming at the universe and the 49ers just completely ignoring him, content to simply keep him on the Left Squad list. They don't have to do ANYTHING with him. They don't pay him and they can actually go after the money they've already paid him.

Bottom line, he can scream all he wants like the infant he is, but he is and has always been the only person who can resolve this and he just continues to do things counter to getting what he wants.

Well said, Marv.
Your boys have plenty of talent w/out this head case. And a LOT of veterans who have been there, done that.
I suspect guys like Kittle, Bosa, Purdy and Mccaffrey are beyond sick of this crap. And Shanahan is probably ready to send this guy packing.

Yeah...funny part is all the Commanders fans who are now Aiyuk/49ers experts. The tales they spin to somehow make Aiyuk a hero are ludicrous.

I also get alot of "they have to release him because it will prevent free agents from signing there".

Yeah. No. The players know whats up...and honestly the Substation BS and CA State taxes are much larger issues for Free Agents.

Brandon can howl at the moon all he wants, but he's doing nothing but hurting himself.
