The one thing I will say is its not his fault we traded way too much for him. People have hates him from day one because they didn't like the trade

Agreed and it’s not like he planned to become injury prone once he was traded. When fully healthy he was a true factor on the field. His frustration mounted as the injuries did the same. Then, the big ego that he has, he no doubt read what media and especially fans were saying about him and he became the living epitome of that famous phrase Ricky Watters once said:

“For who? For what?”

I don't know JA so it is impossible for me to hate him.

I HATED the trade from day 1.

Two 1st's ++ for a box safety with no special measurable? What's not to hate?

I HATED the contract from day 1.

4 yr / $70M
$38M guaranteed at signing
$17M more guaranteed for injury
$20M signing bonus

Who the f7ck gives a contract like this to a mid-level safety who only flashes when playing out of scheme, and then neuters their pass defense to make him a pass rusher leading to a 31st ranked pass defense? Then says "OMG it's so AWESOME he got 9 sacks for a new DB sack record!!!"

It's been a shitshow from day 1. Took away TWO draft chances at getting a standout player at a premium position PLUS a top-tier free agent. This team would be competing at a much higher level with 3 additional premium players on the roster.

The worst part? When PC decides to Run It Back in 2024.

I wish everyone the best in discovering how to grow out of disappointing experiences and learn how to move on. Turn the page. The evolving Seahawk story is full of insight and learning experiences. I know I've finally moved on from this year's disappointment with the Derrick Reed II injury. I've paused and realized that Derrick is still writing his story.

Best wishes.

I'll turn the page on any of the plethora of PCJS moves that, with foresight, seem designed to bring the his team down - as soon as PCJS develop enough hindsight to actually overcome their pride and embarrassment and make the necessary moves to improve the team for the future.

AFAIK Adams will be back in 2024. I'll keep ripping on PCJS about this horrible and easily foreseen mistake until Adams is released. I can guarantee 100% that PCJS get feedback from this site, and I'll do anything I can to pressure them.

Worst trade in franchise history
Well they did trade their first in 77, which ended up being Tony Dorsett.

Traded 1977 first-round pick (#2, RB Tony Dorsett) to Dallas for 1977 first-round pick (#14, T Steve August) and three 1977 second-round picks (#30, T Tom Lynch, #41, LB Terry Beeson, #54, QB Glenn Carano).

Hey, at least we got Carano out of the deal.

I've never bought into the notion that the forum has much if any influence.

When it comes to the media, I think the front office and staff and players have been rather clear about ignoring the noise from those who have no direct skin (involvement) in the game.

This is true, but a lot of it is his fault. His mouth and actions are intolerable and his play (when and if he ever does) is nowhere near giving returns to the contract and picks given for him.

I'd rather have Adams vs Diggs in this game. At least Adams attempts to make a tackle. Diggs just watches players go by him. As much as I am disappointed how Adams didn't pan out (I believe he is still recovering from his injury), I'm disappointed in Diggs more. His play went south since he got his money and he doesn't have an injury excuse.

Every competent organizational leader in this country has someone assigned to review social media as part of their duties.

With an organization like the Seahawks, where multiple forums, blogs, and channels are devoted 100% to the organization, it would be a serious breach of fiduciary duty to NOT have someone report directly to the organizational leaders. They don't focus on specific details but they get summaries on what's happening in weekly or monthly reports.

We may think they don't care, but such thought is not based on the reality of modern corporate governance. Ask anyone you know who is at a high level in the field and understands large corporate governance.

Feedback mechanisms are important for any system. The Seahawks added a couple of additional analytic specialists to their staff just last year. They assist as advisors. But they don't run the show or make personnel decisions or play calls. Only those with skin in the game do.

I agree. But PC does get feedback. It may not have much of an effect on his decision making. But he is a human being and it does have some effect. Almost never enough to sway his decisions. But only almost never.

Although I agree that his recent attitude was likely caused by the frustration of having to deal with his injuries, but it's still speculative. Don't forget, Adams was combative with the NY media when he was healthy and before the trade. He might have been like this all along, that there was simply nothing to trigger his natural instinct to be a jerk.

I guess you weren't around when we discussed that last play in SB 49. How long was it before we moved on from that disappointing experience? Were you one of the few who "learned how to move on" or were you like the rest of us and debated it for years?

We're going to debate this trade for at least another few years. It's what we do.

The chose is no different for us than it is for the actual players on the field. Learn and adapt and move on to life's next lesson.
