It's the NFL through the lens of a niners homer. The fine print is that he's saying we're going to win the next 2 games. Get our line back in order, finally get Percy Harvin, and get better down the stretch. We haven't looked unbeatable at this point, true, but we want to hit our stride in Jan not November. We'll settle this on the gridiron.

Schein has always been a hater. I stopped listening to his show on NFL channel on Sirius cause he is such a jerk.

He has and always will be down on the Hawks he is your typical arrogant East Coast media elitist.

Don't take any stock of what he says, he is more up himself than, Bayless or Prisco.

EDIT: after reading the article I don't think it was that bad. He does gush over SF but always has. I think his questions about how we have played are legit. I still don't like him though.

Niners are playing well vs. weak teams and we are not.

So?

What does that mean for our game with them?....Zilch

We may play way better and they may play way worse by then.

Nfl writer doesn't say 100% positive things about the team = "I've always hated him he sucks he's a hater he's obviously stupid".

I have no idea why seahawks fans are still stuck on that "we're so disrespected" mindset. It may not have been said directly but posts like this sure wreak of that attitude.

Not every single writer or every single article is always going to write things the way you want them to and I don't see where anything he said is wrong, over the top, or even noteworthy.

What exactly is wrong with what he wrote there? We almost lost to one of the worst teams in football, at home.

I agree with him on everything excecpt us losing to the Saints. Look we have no where played up to our potential this year. Yes we have only lost 1 game but there are too many that are one or two plays away from us being handed a loss. Injuries have taken their toll and after how we closed out last year many of us thought we would continue to win games especially the so-called easy ones going away. As I sit an think about it today I do not see us winning in SF and am actually somewhat nervous going into ATL. As we get healthier the hope is that this team will play to our expectaions. Only time will tell.

HOW DARE this known Seahawk hater offer a reasonable opinion about the Seahawks being a very talented and well-coached team that has not yet played up to its potential? As a Seahawk fan, I will not take such rationality lying down! Calling all superfans! TO ARMS!!

SF is a pretty good team. The big weaknesses is age and depth. Older players don't hold up as well without depth. Look at the rep count on the D as an example vs Seattle. He is looking at it too much as a sprint instead of what it is ; a grind and more like the last men standing with the best players win

Reasoned argument or not, I can't take this guy seriously after that video of him grading our 2012 draft. Total tool. I don't bother to listen to him at all anymore.

sooooo tired of people being butthurt that certain personalities in the media aren't gushing over the seahawks.

I'm happy with our record, and to be honest the tampa game wasn't nearly as horrible as it seemed, it just felt bad going down 21-0.

but there's no reason anyone in the professional sports media should be anything more than cautiously optimistic at the most about the seahawks.

getting upset over what people think when they are just giving their evaluation and opinion is sort of a waste of time and energy.

I never said anything he said wasn't true. I was just pointing out that he wrote an entire article about our flaws and how great the Niners are going to be. For those that want to read it. That's it.

But now that you guys bring up caring about other people's opinions you got me thinking...He does seem to be going out of his way to make this article. Why make a whole article about the Seahawks flaws? I don't see one about the Chiefs, Broncos, or even 49ers. Who all have flaws too. Yet Schein had to write this article about the Seahawks, which just seems pointless to me. Is it just to tout himself, since he's been predicting the 49ers are better all along? So now that the Seahawks have hit a lull, he can say "See, I told you so?"

It's not being a homer to be a little apprehensive when reading an article from a known enemy team but at least he doesn't pull any punches. He makes it pretty clear his is a Niner homer view and then goes on to pretty much put the nail on the head of the current Seahawks team we all love and he does it with multiple compliments and never really strays away from the actual reality of how our team has played the last weeks.

If I had to pick at anything it would be the explanation of why Harvin will struggle getting comfortable catching passes from Wilson. I don't totally disagree but there should be equal question marks for the Niners passing attack with the additions of Mannigham and Crabtree. It seems he just expects they will pick up right were they left off with no needed adjustment for game speed or rust to knock off. So far in Kaepernicks starts he has yet to show he can distribute the ball evenly to multiple targets. He pretty much picks his favorite of the day and that is his go to. Will that suddenly change with the addition of Mannigham and Crabtree? Possibly but just assuming it will is kind of a stretch pretty much as much as assuming Harvin will struggle with Wilson and maybe even more considering Harvin will be playing out of the back field and in the slot which is a lot closer to Wilson and qualifies mostly as high percentage passes that wont require as much chemistry as passing to Manningham or Crabtree.

Overall considering it was written from a Niner homer, I thought it was a decently written article. I don't agree with his conclusion but as a fan he is always going to see a way for his team to come out on top and in the last couple of weeks we haven't exactly given reason to believe we aren't possibly a paper tiger.

One thing for sure. It sure makes for an interesting season especially the second half.

I like how he says the Niners are getting healthier... and we're not?

I'm not one that gets up in arms over some talking head doubting this team, but Adam Schein is a special brand of horrible.

I will say a lot of that was true, but... He contradicts himself pretty good on one point. He bangs on Seattle pretty hard for recent results, then says the Saints are gonna win at CenturyLink??? Haven't they played poorly and didn't they just LOSE on the road to the Jets?? That just makes no sense if we're talking truths about recent performances

The biggest issue I have with what he wrote was "9 things the Seahawks need to do better" and 2 of those were what San Fransisco was doing.

Really, how is anything SF is doing relevant to how we are playing ? Even if we were playing lights out, how can we control what SF does (other than maybe putting a lot of pressure on them by winning every game and making them play tight) ?

He's been down on the Hawks, but so were a lot of people....at least about how we play on the road. The other thing that irks me about Schein is that he was gushing about Wilson and saying he was claiming Russ would be successful before there was ever a bandwagon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Schein repeatedly bash Pete and John about that draft and call Russell Wilson a backup ? Anyone that cares to confirm this I would love to hear it.
