we don't beat the niners on 8 completions, you are trippin.

Those stats are from week 2. We already beat the Ninnies with 8 completions.

seems to be the rationale talking point regarding our passing game. I honestly thought RW played better in the road loss, took more chances (maybe too many) downfield and was just a couple passes off having a big game.

Yeah a pretty crappy 1st half setup those stats.

The key offensively was scoring two TDs on consecutive 80 yrd drives to start the second half.

Can anybody tell me how many drops by the WR's there were in the last game? Seems lots of people continue to talk about RW passing stats but I haven't seen this anywhere. Off the top of my head I can think of at least 3 or 4. Catch those and we are having completely different discussions. Golden Tate had his worst game this year and I don't see that being discussed.

I've watched the game twice and the impression I have is Russell throws were a bit off... usually throwing behind the receiver, especially on the slant routes to Tate.

I don't recall any pure drops.

Both balls thrown to Percy (where he got drilled) were catchable, IMO.

And sometimes you have to give credit to the defender(s).

If we are making it down the field running, and still scoring its all good. Running more uses up more clock. Just need to have a line to protect Wilson and no more easy drops and hard catches. I don't know how many Hawks I have seen who can catch the hard ones and miss the easy ones. Koren Robinson was one of those type.

I recall Tate having a few drops against the Saints. One was right in his hands and would have kept a drive alive. No it wasn't Tate's best game last Sunday. He needs to play better this Sunday. Maybe they can put some maple bar frosting on the ball Sunday. He's sure to catch every one of those ;)

Neither were on the defender as he lost the ball before the defender arrived. Can't fault him for the second one as it would have been a fantastic catch if he had come down with it, but the first one was a drop. Also remember him hitting Tate in stride on a slant, but don't remember seeing the replay and its possible the defender got his hands in there.
