Where are you seeing that? Graham is widely considered a top 5-10 pick.

ProFootballNetwork.com in various computer mocks

However I agree with you and think he'll go way earlier.

Seahawks Sign G Sala Aumavae-Laulu To Reserve/Future Contract https://www.seahawks.com/news/seahawks-sign-g-sala-aumavae-laulu-to-reserve-future-contract

The Ravens closed out their 2023 NFL Draft class with a strong offensive lineman they can develop in Malaesala "Sala" Aumavae-Laulu out of Oregon in the sixth round.
Standing in at 6-foot-5, 317 pounds, Aumavae-Laulu is a very powerful blocker with a history of forklifting defenders. He takes pride in being a physical, punishing offensive lineman.
"[He is] a very, very large offensive lineman," General Manager Eric DeCosta said. "A very, very good athlete for his size. [He] can pull, can play on his feet. We look at him as a real strong developmental guy. [He has] a lot of upside potential."

Thanks Jville, as ever greatly appreciate your continuing contributions to this thread.

This player is an interesting addition to a positional group that the team needs to keep adding to to find those guys who can play at an acceptable or superior level.

Updated.

This is amazing. I'll be the first to admit I know nothing about how the cap works and its many intricacies and manipulations. That would put us about $11 million under currently I believe, and this wasn't even a move on anyone's bingo card. We still have a lot of moves we can and will make to free up a lot of space.

Edit: I read the article and it says we are now only $14 million over for 2025 now further proving my point above.

Actually the team is $13,463,266 over the cap after this restructure.

Not exactly a definitive statement, but Brady is usually on point on these things so I'll assume no news will take place today.

My suspicion is the team would like to try to restructure his deal and keep Nwosu who has had slightly odd injury problems for the past season and bit.

He's a good sized natural pass rusher and a valuable player when healthy.

Agreed. I read it as a restructure is looming

It would seem the team likes some players in this draft.

Maybe true. I've been following roster moves for decades and I've never seen the team drop bottom of the roster guys in February. Usually there's a thinning of the herd in April when the off-season program starts, and again after the draft. This is the time of year for moves that impact cap space but this ain't that.

As have I, and when those two were released I thought it was an odd move. Those two players as you observe don’t really cost against the cap as they are not top 51 contracts. Both were little more than PS players or camp bodies so there must have been something else.

Perhaps there are other reasons unrelated to cap or ability. The team is usually not very forthcoming about things like that. Maybe they didn't get along with coaches or other players or something similar or unreported.

My coaches/other players comment was me putting a hoped for positive spin on a curious situation.

This is interesting and to me shows the team really is going to focus upon the OLine going forward to fix a situation that needs fixing.
