Thanks guys, always appreciated!!!

Suspect this is more than likely done with Coleman to allow competitive abilities for the preseason games.

Updated.

Not much slips by kidhawk and Jville before it is reported here. It’s a pleasure working with them. Besides we have real insight added from our Hawkstorian who has probably forgotten more about the workings of the cap and the history of the team than most know. I’m very lucky to have their support here.

Football tonight, GO HAWKS!!!

Thanks Hawknight noticed that yesterday, much appreciated!!!

I am following practice reports and our lads.com to list the OP DC as this provisional DC seems to under rank the rookies.

Depth charts are really an antiquated concept as football is so situational these days. Really, besides the QB, OL and a few defenders, nobody plays every down. There's a different depth chart for every package and situation it seems like. I don't even know the difference between a LB and DE anymore.

Very true my friend but the DC allows us to sort of assess the progress of various players/mentally assess the whole roster. Perhaps as well it is a way of seeing how the team sees the players. There is little doubt though it is a restrictive way of looking at the roster.

This latest addition is very curious. The player might be seen as a ST player that can both tackle and block. He certainly is fast enough to be interesting.

Nice size for a fullback conversion project ...........

There have been lots of guys shorter and slower than Steiner who made a good nfl career out of it. His versatility provides a lot of possibilities for him to find a way to shine, especially when the head coach admires and values versatility. This will be a fun one to watch play out.

Shorter gate and RAS scores suggest superior quickness. His vision will be the attribute to look for. Like the linebacker background. Projecting players to new roles seems to be a Seahawks theme.

I think Montorie Foster is fully released even though the initial report was that he was waived/injured. None of the more reliable roster sites (Ourlads, Spotrac, OTC) show him as on IR. I scoured the wires and couldn't see any definitive news. Maybe he got a nominal settlement when he was cut but in these situations we never really know.
