I'm waiting on team announcements b/c there can be errors based upon incomplete info from opinion sources.

If Holani is cut it'd be a surprise to me. However, we can expect a few surprises.

I assumed as much. I’ll always try to note if it isn’t official on these types of things. I do think it’s definitely safer to assume cuts are more often coming to fruition than PS signings as I’ve seen those change at the last minute too many times.

I appreciate it's frustrating not to post these 2nd hand announcements, but they are often just opinion based upon misunderstood information.

We need to be patient and to wait upon formal team announcements as players opinions on team intentions can also be wrong.

Besides it save me a lot of work to change a posted but mistaken announcement.

Even at this point after the deadline has expired there are approximately 20 players that something has been done with that we know nothing about yet.

It's easy for the forum to forget that this annual process is three or more days in the making.

I don’t think anybody expects an updated roster cut by cut. Just do what you do as this week is going to be crazy

Sounds like they save 3 mil with the Rhattigan cut. He was non-existent for the most part in the pre-season.
Totally disagree with him being non-existent. He had a great pre-season. The 3-mil was too much and younger/cheaper players played close to the same level. If not picked up, I'd be surprised if he isn't one of the 1st on the PS.

Thank you my friend kidhawk you have no idea how many times I've refreshed the various sites today and yesterday. Much appreciated!!!

Historically while these are the actions of today JS always uses this period of various player availability to chop and further change the 53 that was set today.

We can also expect similar churn with the PS as it becomes set. Expect a few camp stars to return with the PS should they clear waivers.

There are a few real surprises with these roster decisions of today for various reasons financial and otherwise and it is likely we have not seen the end of their Seahawks careers for many of them.

Updated for now. (Phew)

WCstripes: Ans: Yes, but I suspect, depending upon what they've seen, this rookie player will be back on the PS if he clears waivers.

Updated.

It will be interesting to see if we scavenge any solid players from other teams castoffs or just procure our PS

this an interesting initial roster.

At first glance there are positions with greater numbers than usual and others that don’t.

Dee Williams is really a CB/KR not a WR so we will see how the team treats him. However I expect the team to list him as a CB or there may possibly be another CB added. This could in fact be the cut rookie draft pick James who may be likely addition to the PS. Frankly I was surprised by the numbers kept. I will move him to CB.

The OLine numbers are greater than usual as the team wanted to ensure their 7th rd. draft pick wasn’t scoped when waived. There when our RT finally gets healthy I expect a roster move and a former older draft pick may be on the bubble. Windell must be practicing well as to me he’s a surprising keep, he does seem positionally versatile.

The RB numbers are light but if Holani gets to the PS that could be an answer. However there could be few players on waivers of interest or even Denver’s cut Perine.

The DLine looks stronger than I can ever remember, disappointed by the Nwosu injury but they didn’t put him on IR which bodes positively for the timing of his return. Suspect the team will have a much stronger pass rush than was shown by them in the preseason and that wasn’t bad. Hopeful Sheriff clears waivers and is added to the PS to develop his potential.

i expect there will be more than a few familiar faces added back to the PS. Am wondering what the team plans to do with a 3rd QB?
