2020 Seahawks Depth Chart and roster moves

In other news yet while still on NFI, DE- Darrell Taylor has officially returned to practice today which may allow him to be activated later in the playoffs.

The team is over the roster max by 2 players and there are four vacancies on the PS.

I predict Boone will be returned/revert to the PS, and then be elevated again to the 53 for the Rams game. This means there will need to be a player deleted from the 53. Candidates to be cut from the 53 to make the numbers right are WR-Penny Hart, OLB- 'Quem Grifin, & CB- Jayson Stanley, with DeeJay Dallas being a potential candidate for IR. Unless there are other COVID candidates (I hope not).

Neither Hart nor Collins can revert to the PS as they have been called up and reverted twice already.

They are going to have some interesting choices to make as to which players will be inactive for this upcoming game.

The numbers are really out of whack as there are now 56 players ostensibly on the 53 man roster. Does anyone know if the team has an exemption for the 2 players returner from the COVID Reserve?

Even if so, there still are roster moves that need to be made.

Both Collins and Lattimore will revert to the PS officially ending the personnel moves for the season.

Looking at the team and all the players on the IR etc. list there is a lot of talent we didn't see this season.

Alex Collins and Cedric Lattimore have reverted back to the PS from the 53.

I'd expect the team to possibly sign numerous futures deals in the next short while. All the PS guys are now officially UFAs as of tomorrow.

The veteran exceptions to the PS have apparently all not signed futures deals and are simply UFAs.

Bob Condotta is reporting the team has signed 11 PS members to futures contracts. The players so signed are

Tommy Champion, Danny Elting, Aaron Fuller, Penny Hart, Gavin Heslop, Cedrick Lattimore, Brad Lundblade, Tyler Mabry, Jordan Miller, Alex McGough, and Cody Thompson.

The roster now will start to have the Futures deals guys added and the roster limit for the team will expand to 80 or 90 depending upon whether the COVID scheme remains in place.

It is my plan over the next week to begin a transition to the 2021 roster thread.

Initially I will add to the roster all the IR etc., etc., players, and all the futures guys, then to transition the thread to a 2021 roster thread. Then the UFAs and RFA will be taken from the thread and listed and when re-signed added back.

By SuperBowl we'll start up the new thread and unsticky this one to allow it it to fade away into .net history. I hope I can be indulged some patience while this all happens as the new thread takes a good bit of keyboarding and I can't type worth a crap. That said I like doing this, and it becomes an obsession.

In the end close to 300 roster moves this season and maybe a few more by SB.

I'm blown away by the reality of 40,000 plus views and thank my faithful cohorts who make my job easier and keeps me better informed on roster stuff. Kitsap, you are the man!!!
