That ump was horrible and the only thing that surprised me was the fact that McClendon got thrown out in the 2nd inning and not the 1st. Price shut us down yesterday but it looks like the Mariners have bounced back early on in this game by scoring 2 runs in the top of the 1st.

The M's struggle aganist top tier pitching because they don't score runs. Even if Hernandez is pitching, if he's going against the top pitchers like a Price, etc. The odds are high that he will lose or get a no decision at best. Which is unfortunate because he's arguably the best pitcher in baseball and deserves a W each time he's out there. He definitely didn't deserve to lose yesterday even though he didn't have his best stuff.

And McClendon gets tossed by the same umpire, Tony Randazzo, for the second straight game. Are you kidding me? How can the MLB have an umpire that acts like a petulant little child.

He's 13-3...you sure the "odds are high"?

Ms have done a better job of supporting him this season. He's helped himself by being brilliant.

Price pitched well. Give him the credit.

I'm not knocking Felix at all. I'm not slighting Price either. I'm saying with better run support, Felix would have more wins. He has 13 currently and has started 26 games in total. He's got 9 no-decisions. He should be closer to 20 wins if he had better run support. M's don't score much runs when he pitches. They are putting up 8 runs for Chris Young today. That kind of run support for Felix and he'll almost never lose.

Felix has the 12th best run support in the AL with the M's scoring an average of 4.65 runs per outing for Felix. I will admit that those stats may be skewed a bit by the fact that they've scored 10 or more runs for him 5 times this year.

It's going to be very interesting to see where the standings are after the Angels and A's upcoming series against each other. If the M's keep on at this clip, they could wind up just a couple games behind one of these two teams for the first wild card.

5.5 back tonight after Oakland lost tonight.
2001 broke my heart and because of that they need to show way more until I'm all in. So bring it already!

That's alright, they don't need your support. Stay a Royals fan.

Royals fan? Get serious you troll. I just said I believe something will go sideways for them until I see different in September. Prove me and it wrong until Howard Lincoln is GONE given I know that bastard personally.

The fact that it's midway through August and we're still relevant is pretty freakin' different.

I agree but I've seen too many bad things happen to the Mariners to guarantee a playoff berth yet.

Excuse me, but you are the troll here. With your, "prove it to me," nonsense. I believe that you said the same a few months back. At least you are a consistently bad "fan."

Curry my friend, i feel like you need to step back a bit.

lots of skeptical fans are coming in here tentatively supporting the team, but with good reason to not go all in.

I'm with you man, why not be all in. But i think its pretty fair for others to hesitate and share those concerns without a troll label.

Your feelings betray you. Those same, "skeptical fans," are just playing both sides of the fence. AKA, bandwagon fans. I read a post on .net the other day where a poster commented that they are fed up with people that say, "I hope that I am wrong, but..." This is because they play both sides of the fence. If the team fails, then they can say, "I told you so." If they are incorrect, then they feel like they deserve to share in the celebration. It is fake.

Come on Curry... thats about how 95% of fans of any team in any sport take their support. There is rarely objectivity, and even with it you rarely find it on an internet message board.

i'd say enjoy it. let others play both sides of the fence. atleast its relavent baseball talk in August.

I will be part of the 5% that will call them on their BS. That is as much of a right of mine as their disingenuous "fandom."
