What happen to Cano why is he out of the game?

Cano fouled a ball off his in-step. Mclendon said he took him out just to be safe and that Cano should play tomorrow.

Another great game from the Mariners and Paxton. Paxton was missing with his off-speed stuff, but his fastball was well above average.

On a side note; Taijuan Walker just put together his second straight solid start going six innings, with one run on three hits. He walked three and struck out nine of the eighteen batters that he got out. That is twenty-two K's in the last thirteen innings.

Side note number two: Not sure why Saunders is not recalled yet. Guy is destroying AAA pitching right now. We could use his bat and defense in RF. I am tired of the Endy Chavez experience.

So What do we do with Roenis Elias when Walker is sent back up? If we have the same rotation next year, we can't keep all 6 starting pitchers, and I really hope we don't give up Elias.

Roenis is already in AAA. They sent him down to manage his innings. I believe I read somewhere that he will be recalled for spot starts here and there. I think that he is making one next week, but do not quote me on that. Since The Roenis subject has been brought up, he had a dominating performance with Tacoma his last time out. I believe he will be Chris Young's replacement next season.

The Mariners are potentially looking at a Felix, Paxton, Iwakuma, Elias, And Walker rotation next season. I will not feel one bit of sadness over that either!

The one player in this year's rotation I want to keep for next year is Chris Young. he's having a hell of a year. I really hope we keep him next year.

You can never have too many pitchers.

Very true. I am happy that the Mariners are doing well and at the same time as the Royals so it's a good year for me.

Nice to see all these fans..It's a long process to rebuild from garbage..It happens to a lot of teams but a good GM makes it happen..I've been seeing it with the Cubs here also...The Mariners are farther along and I have to give Jack credit..I didn't think the Pineda trade and Cano signing were good moves but he knows far more than I do about running a team..I'm excited for this team and I think we are going to get even better no matter what happens with playoffs this year..
Go Mariners!!

The plate umpire was horrible last night. There was a premier pitching matchup and the umpire decided that he needed to be the main attraction for the evening. Guy was calling pitches right down the middle, at the knees, a ball. Ruined the complexion of the game. Felix threw ninety-five pitches and only made it through five innings.
