I think the hype around the 2013 Seahawks is a little higher than 1985, simply because of the internet. The only way for fans, critics and [sports] writers to exchange opinions and participate in polls was to write to the Seattle Times 'Opinions Column', or whatever your local paper was. Now, everyone has a voice, from this fan forum to NFL's official site. ESPN, CBS Sports, Fox Sports, they all have sites with very active forums/message boards. I visit all of the major sports websites every now and then, it really seems like the Hawks are getting a ton of hype this year. I can't decide if I like it or not. However, it is nice to read about your team in major articles on CBS, Yahoo, ESPN, FOX or NFL.com on a relatively regular basis.
