That's how many times the Seattle Seahawks have finished with seven wins or less in a season. The fact that they have seven wins in the first half of the season is truly incredible. I hope that all true members of the 12th Man family can appreciate what is happening with this organization right now.

Winning in the NFL isn't easy, and although I'd hasn't looked pretty a couple times we're still 7-1 and control or own destiny for the number one seed in the NFC playoffs with five home games remaining. Enjoy the ride, I know I will.

The sea gets choppy sometimes, just ride it out. But, when you're in uncharted waters it's easy to forget to enjoy the ride.

That's a disturbing stat, wow. Yet, so many people seem mad about HOW they win games. Shoot, they are sitting at 7-1, 4-1 on the road, with 5 of 8 at home to finish the regular season. Incredible season so far. I guess it's a sign of how good they are.

Perspective.

I'm going to make the word "perspective" my word of the day for October 30, 2013.

BTW: the word of the day for tomorrow is "Legs".

Spread the word.

Here's the deal, though. This team isn't being measured against its sad history. It's being measured against its lofty future. The future is brighter than the past, and it's casting a long shadow over games like Monday night.

I think anyone who supported this team in the 90s is quite ok with a 14-9 win AT St. Louis. (or early in the Holmgren era when we found nearly miraculous ways to lose on the road)

I get the frustration, but i'm just happy for W's right now.

I have to agree, it's all about perspective and we're quite spoiled right now being 7-1. Even though we're not dominating or putting up gaudy numbers, we're still winning and have the luxury of getting healthy and starting to hit our peak going into the late season and playoffs.

That said, some of these wins are very stressful and it seems that we're getting in our own way more than the other team is getting after us so it leaves a frustrated feeling because there's a ton of potential here.

When expectations are high it is hard to maintain perspective.

We all need to to chill (of course that isn't mandatory) and realize that the team is in the middle of an amazing run. During any run like this in a league where parity is demonstrated daily the will be ups and downs and there is little doubt the OLine is a mash unit with several players playing out of position and a unit that is missing the two starters at the key positions on the line. I was surprised that RW wasn't hurt by the 7 sacks he took.

All of us also need to understand that teams are starting to devise game plans to restrict RW's ability to improvise by assigning a spy to him thus lessening his ability to pass outside of the pocket. Of course better protection is needed for him as Monday's debacle was hard to watch, maybe the OC will take that need into consideration in this coming game.

Meanwhile let's all enjoy the ride, 7-1 is nothing short of amazing!!!

Amen. We've been through enough bad seasons to really appreciate a good one. It's silly to get too bunged up about less than pretty wins. The W's all count the same...
