I hope it happens. More Seahawks football? Behind the scenes? Sign me up.

I think teams purposely overstate the "distraction" angle because they want to look like they're above reality TV drama. It's like when players claim they don't care about stats even though you know they do. It's bad PR to act like you have interest in anything that isn't strictly team-building and winning games. I can't imagine the extra cameras are THAT much of an issue.

The season the Lions were on showed that they were doing things right and I think it's a big reason a lot of fans are really pulling for them. It pushed revenue, jersey sales and ad opportunities. There is definitely a possibility of distraction. However, if a franchise doesn't fight it and instead tries to maximize its value, there are a lot of demonstrated opportunities.

I've never watched hard knocks. Not once. I've heard and watched second-hand stuff about it, though.

I was just looking at that:

  • Panthers: My prediciotn, Bryce Young's Roller Coaster NFL career will be something to make a story of and Canaleas is very charismatic
  • Titans: 1st overall pick, is a big interest but as they has that story last year they might not want a repeat
  • Falcons: Featured in 2014 so first year eligible after that which might make them reluctant to go with them again, however the if Penix is going to be their starter that could be interesting.
  • Us: Unless we do something splashy in the draft like trade up for a QB the main reason I think they would take us is variety. The 2 years not in the play-offs means they usually have to select struggling teams, this is an opportunity to have a team with over 500 in the last 3 seasons (and 12 of the last 13) and sell it as a team on the cusp trying to make the difference to become a super bowl contender.
Pretty much for these reason I don't think it will be us. We have good players but don't have the names, like Young in Caroline, Robinson and Penix in Atlanta.
Titans are a bit of a gamble cause I think they would have commit to them before knowing who they are picking

Probably going against the grain here on dot net, but, I wouldn’t mind Seattle on it.

Not that I need to see Seattle on it and for the whole world to see but I don’t think if the Seahawks were on it, it wouldn’t derail their season because of it….

For the most part, I think the producers of the show do a good job of showcasing the operations of an NFL team from individual players to some footage of coaches getting on players verbally and so on and so forth.

What am I going to find out? This coach doesn’t speak nicely to a player if that player messed up?

Oh, woopty do, I’ve played football and that doesn’t bother me. I know that might offend some people/players/viewers but at the end of the day this game is football and on the field, the players on it, can say a lot worse to each other, then, what a coach may say during practice!

Remember when Sherman told Russ, “You fuxxxn suck!”

Yeah, that happens in practice, and I’d like to see it with the Seahawks, if it does happen on Hard Knocks!

If you don’t want to see it happening, then, don’t watch—but either way, the operations of a football team has a lot of things happening behind the scenes and what does happen should not surprise any of us here on dot net. Things are said and done even if it’s not on Hard Knocks. I just like to see it myself!

It’s football!

Seahawks Legend, Lockett released + DK wants a trade + Geno influx and what to do with him + Schneider under most pressure to turn this ship around + Ownership gets NFLPA “C” Grade = Great time for a Seahawks Hard Knocks!

Not sure if Mac would be for it though!

2025 ”Hard Knocks” Seahawks!

I’m all for it!

It was announced they're shifting to covering college teams. I guess nobody wanted to do it this year and they opted for this rather than having the league force someone.

They already said it won't be North Carolina though, so I doubt I'll make any special effort to tune in.

I'm pretty sure that's only for the "off-season" version of Hard Knocks, which was the new one that was introduced last year with the Giants. They still have their "main" training camp Hard Knocks, as well as another "in-season" Hard Knocks, which is the one that documented an entire division last year, the AFC North. I haven't heard anything about all of those versions of Hard Knocks transitioning to college, just the off-season one, which nobody really cared for last year anyway.

All tv is reality tv. Has been since they did the first reality family in the early 70s - actually reality has become tv and vice versa. A lovely spectacle to keep us dopamined up eh?

-- Like all "reality" shows, there is an agenda. You don't get to know what players are really like. There are great guys the make look dumb and there are bad humans they make look like saints. The producers will always manipulate what you see, to tell the story they want to tell.

-- And I don't know about the legitimacy of curses, but that Madden cover one seems pretty real.

With the Seahawks not getting into the playoffs and also getting a new head coach, does this open us up to being forced to be on Hard Knocks now?

Also, can a mod edit the thread title to put the 's' onto the end please?
A poster can do that themselves - they can do everything but delete their own post- unfortunately
