Well, I'm just glad the roster is finally being cleaned up and on the road to a healthier cap situation eventually. I liked Pete and all, no doubt, but it seemed like he was selling the farm to try and reinvent the wheel from the LOB days. IMHO of course.

Pete gambled his job on JA. Denver took 2 seasons and cut their losses with RW.

I think DK would be traded at this point.

John wants the picks, and I think with the team tanking, they wouldn't want DK to go off on the team.
This. Given where DK is at in his career and that this team is hitting reset. Trade him.

I don't see that the team is "hitting reset". They've cut some chaff, players that for the most part we've all been hoping they'd cut. They've freed up some cap space to be able to be involved in free agency. Despite what some people think, the team has at least one quality QB (jury still out on Lock, if he even stays), and a really good set of skill players on offense. If you think either JS or Macdonald are tanking this year, you're nuts.

I would be very surprised to see us trade DK. I think it would take an unreasonable number of draft picks to pry him away, for other teams to even try.

I agree with that assessment. Pete's roster moves smelled of desperation.
He also seemed to keep people around
that he shouldn't have. Dissly comes to mind.

The hawks released both starting safeties. Yes I understand that one can't stay healthy and one plays average.

But if you re-signed Williams, and get Nwosu back, and maybe get another DT, NT by Williams, (Someone like Turner, Verse, Latu, Murphy, Chop) It will at least help our safeties and cornerbacks a lot. Applying pressure to the QB, giving him less time will always help the secondary.

Also, they have no tight ends on roster.

I think they just want to play out the contracts of Geno, Dremont Jones, Lockett. And all 3 of them will be gone next season.

It looks like a reset and it is a reset.

KC would rather have players that get the yardage and 1st downs.

Not Lockett.

LOL what??! Tyler had more 1st downs receiving last year at 47 than anyone on KC not named Travis Kelce at 50. Rashee Rice was 2nd at 44. Justin Watson was 3rd with 21.

Yardage wise, Tyler had 894 yards he's still miles about KC's Justin Watson's 460 yards.

The way that Tyler plays protecting himself and not getting the first down is what I'm talking about.

How many times have we seen Lockett catch one for 9 yards. 2nd and 1 and False Start, 2nd and 6. Run for 4 yards, 3rd and 2 and then miss a pass. Then punt?

One of the filthiest hits I've ever seen in person when he made Rickey Dudley have an Out of Body experience for a few moments.
Yes indeed. I was at the game as well.
When dude hit Dudley , the Kingdome went silent for a split second then erupted in glorious harmony. It's the biggest hit I ever witnessed . I got to talk to Daryl Williams at training camp in Cheney the next year and we were joking about it. Got my picture with him .

No way anyone watched Will the last 3 years, and think we should keep him. He had a lot of drops. There is only one reason anyone here wants to resign him.

He dropped 4.5% of his targets in 2023.

JSN dropped 10.8%
DK dropped 5.9%
Lockett dropped 4.1%
Fant dropped 2.3%
Colby dropped 5.9%
Bobo dropped 0%

What is your definition of 'a lot of drops'

Next up on my DUMP wish list is Dee Eskridge.

I’m not a cap guy so no idea how much, if anything we would get hit by releasing him, but I’d rather have a 6-piece nuggies and a 40 than leave that mofo on our roster.

All these Pete Projects need to bounce. This is exciting as hell….I love not knowing anything about how our team will look this year for the first time in 14 years. Refreshing as F*ck.

He wasn't good, but I thought he improved enough by the latter part of the season to think he might not be completely washed. I think for a vet presence on a cheap deal (if he can humble himself enough to accept one), we could do worse.
I think you’re right but at the same time guys like him won’t do it. I thought he was dogshit for a while to your original point.

FWIW, we now lead the league in Dead Money ($34.4M) for this year.

Not complaining... just sharing.

If you was MM watching last years film of those three
would you keep them?
I sure wouldn't if I'm trying to build a team of example(s)
they sure stick out like sore thumbs.
I still can't get over Diggs letting that guy walk into EZ right
past him 5 yards with zero effort.

I think they shouldn keep eskridge for special teams and do KR/PR duties. He actually is a threat back there in the times he got in. Dallas... not so much

The guy was going through the motions for the last couple years. He sucked by comparison. Then, he posts some dumbass Twitter with the Friday theme… the dude knew. He was a Pete guy and I’m so glad he’s gone… along with Pete.
