Wow, 5 pages in a little over 2 hours.

I was a little surprised that we let Dissly go. He's one of the best blocking tight ends in the game and it really wasn't his fault that he wasn't utilized more in the passing game. The guy caught everything thrown at him. But with just 17 catches and an injury history, he was a little too expensive. I'm hoping that we resign him to a more team friendly contract. He was the best all around tight end on our roster.

I'm not really surprised that we released Diggs. He had a horrible season and combined with Adams, they were the two worst pairs of safeties in the league. Plus, Julian Love had a very good debut with us, which lessoned the pain some.

I would have been shocked if they had resigned Adams and might have jumped off the Macdonald bandwagon before it even got started had they brought him back under his current deal. I'm glad to see him go. Don't let the door hit ya where the Good Lord split ya!

Probably wishful thinking, but Christian Wilkins didn't get tagged for some inexplicable reason. How amazing would he be for us?

No way anyone watched Will the last 3 years, and think we should keep him. He had a lot of drops. There is only one reason anyone here wants to resign him.

Next please Mone, restructure Tyler. Sign Big Cat, Colby and Queen in FA. Draft DT at 16 and a TE. We will be fine
Agreed, but I think we're gonna need another ILB in there too if Brooks leaves and BWags retires. We also need to consider the current QB class for QBotF since the 2025 class isn't going to be a very good.

Geno Stone isn't expected back with the Ravens. Had a career year in Mac's D last season. Would provide some good balance as a less polarizing Geno S.

Probably my least favorite Seahawk personality-wise I can remember. (Diggs)
Funny that a play in his career with the Hawks that was a positive and helped clinch a playoff spot in 2022 was one that actually annoyed me a bit. It was the pick on Mayfield on OT vs the Rams. Yes Hawks ended up getting a FG anyway, but imo he was so worried about pointing at Bobby on the Rams sidelines and celebrating, he stepped OB when it sure looked like with a little effort he had a lot of room down the sidelines to get us into FG range himself. Also that pointing could have cost the team 15 yards.

The news here is that we are reportedly cutting Adams pre-June 1st. Very good move if so that alleviates part of the concern that the Geno restructure created. This is the best opportunity we've had to really clear up our cap situation in years.
Side note: Now that Adams is gone, will we still have people dwelling on it in 2 years? I hope not, but I think we know the history here :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
I know it gets tiring to discuss. The Adams trade still ended up being the most impactfully negative thing for this franchise since the Butler interception. It's going to be fair game for criticism pretty much forever.

Bears released Eddie Jackson, and Poles has $78 million cap space. There could be some serious bidding wars for free agent safeties.

I love Uncle Will but his biggest knock is availability.

I remember that incident. Thanks for bringing it up, I had forgotten all about it.

It's good to see the Hawks making the obvious necessary moves to start the busy part of the off-season. None of the players released should've been brought back, and now we have a much clearer salary cap and depth chart situation.
