Indeed. Not gonna go over things here, but barring a stellar draft i expect our offense and defense to both regress a little bit. We may very well be fighting for a wild card spot instead of marching through our schedule like last year. They made it look too easy. If we win the super bowl next season it will actually be a slog, and no one will be saying "this doesn't even feel real."
Last season was easy?

We had to beat the #2 and #3 teams in the league in the last quarter of the schedule just to get to the playoffs, and then we had to face the same two teams to advance to the Super Bowl. GTFO of here with that "easy" crap.

I actually thought having to play two divisional foes a THIRD time to get to the Super Bowl was about as hard of a path as you can go.

Did you watch all 3 Rams games? Having to play through the toughest division and needing to beat the concensus favored team 2x in week 16 and in the NFC championship...I didn't see it as easy.

The Rams could have won all 3 games and our path would have been very different. If we have challenges next year, it doesn't mean we cake-walked 2025.

This season is going to be a slugfest, the best team may not win, health will be a big factor, we have some pissed off rivals in our division after blowing out the 49ers and the McVag perceived slight of what we did to them being seen as unfair just becasue he didn't know the rule.. Rams are selling out to beat us on defense, 49ers are working on weapons for their offense.

Public Enemy number 1 is who we are as far as the League goes this upcoming season.

I would like to win it all again, but we have a lot of work to do and the teams mindset has to be in the right place again.

This team - despite the FA losses - is special and will continue to be so in 2026 barring a catastrophic injury bug. I don't see our off season losses as devastating as some do. I think we will have yet another victory draft next month, and continue to develop our young players into motivated, productive members of the team. Whether starter or "Ready Squad", I truly think we are on to something special for the next few years.

Yep.

If we do end up repeating, man....we would've earned it big time with a target on our back.

(what's this "we" stuff, you ask? I'm living vicariously through the Seahawks and act like I'm a part of their team)

Nah I doubt that 🤡 hasn’t watched shit for Seattle this year and is just enjoying trolling.

Which is fine, he’ll be shown the door soon. Regardless of how fine a line he tries to walk.

Nice post AROS, I also think we are fine and will be a contender for some time.
I doubt if John makes any more FA moves until after June 1st to protect our 4 comp picks projected for 2027.

2027 Seahawks draft (projected).

R1 native pick.
R2 native pick.
R3 native pick.
R4 native pick.
R4 Mafe projected comp pick
R5 native pick.
R5 K9 projected comp pick.
R5 Woolen projected comp pick.
R5 Bryant projected comp pick.
R6 native pick.
R7 native pick.
R7 Jerrell trade.

I think we will win another because we have the best coach. We had some good players but he really maximized the teams potential. We got lucky getting him.

First off…

It is VERY difficult to repeat.

I think we will miss Woolen more than people here think. He played well the last half of the season, we just forget sometimes because his mistakes are so boneheaded. We also don’t have much draft capital and we play a first place schedule.

That said…..

I think we have as good of chance as anyone. Stafford will eventually have to regress, if it’s this year, it changes everything. Niners will have some studs back in Warner and Bosa as well as another receiving threat in Evans so they will be tough.

I think Darnold will have another great season and the return of Horton alongside JSN and Shaheed will have us right in the hunt again. It’s going to be fun defending that ring!

Pretty much this. But your early sentence is most crucial, bc it IS really hard to repeat. We do have as good a chance as anyone, but that's predicated on our winning the division and playing 2-3 home playoff games. Winning the division may be as hard or even harder than getting thru the playoffs.

The defense will be good for another year

They can win if Darnold and the offense can do what they did last year

Further out will be tough. The defense is getting old and teams that win consistently usually have a superstar QB. Darnold is good but he is not Brady or even Mahomes
