I can't imagine we are entering the season with our current RB stable. We may be able to get someone in the draft but I have to think that we are going to sign a proven commodity. There are a couple guys I was interested in that have been snatched up. Surprised we weren't in on Algeier or Dowdle considering the contracts they signed. Options are getting a bit thin at this point...White, Harris, Jones, Pacheco, Robinson are all out there. Who would you like at the right price? I think I am leaning towards White or Pacheco at this point.

Robinson from the Niners and/or the draft seem like the most likely options.

This.

The FO may feel like they have enough options for a place filler until Charbs gets healthy. I could see a vet signing after the draft, but it would have to be cheap, like 1 year maybe or no guaranteed $.

Other than that I'd expect an RB in the Hawks' 1st 3 picks. Paying other teams' FAs even mid money probably makes little sense.

I'm a big Isiah Pacheco fan. The projected contract for him is more than affordable. He runs hard and gets tough yards. He reminds me of Chris Carson.

From what I understand, other than Love, this is a very mediocre RB class and may as well dip into our depth, like Kenny and Jones, Holani and use our draft cap for something else. Arizona just signed a new RB, I don't know if this is an indication of how well James Conner is doing but I wouldn't mind if the Hawks put out some feelers for this guy.

I'm not concerned. I like our current stable behind an improving cohesive line. Would feel better if Z.C. could be ready for start of season. But, Holani and McIntosh have shown something when healthy. I really liked what I saw from Jacardia Wright. Velus Jones and Cam Akers might fill a role. Also, don't forget about Robbie Ouzts. Maybe new OC could get him involved a bit as they did in SF with Kyle Jusczyk. Plus, seems like they were starting to utilize JSN and Shaheed out of the backfield. Will be interesting with new OC. Still very early.

I get building through the draft and while we have a bunch of RB options, I just don't think you can trust going into the season with Holani, McIntosh, Wright and the rest of the stable due to either inexperience or injury history. Especially with how the team offense is designed. If we don't sign someone then I guess the staff is comfortable with what they have seen and we shall see how it goes.

That's it. It might not be a perfect solution, but it's the way JS has done things. Even 41st for Walker wasn't exactly 'early'. It does look 'iffy' this year, but only because Walker is gone and Charbs is injured. It's not all that unusual.

At the right price I think Rachaad White makes the most sense of the remaining FAs. You've got Kenny McIntosh and Holani for carries, but White brings a little more of that 3rd down skillset that we'll be missing until Charbonett gets back. There are definitely some intriguing guys in the draft that can be had mid to late too. Best case scenario would be to bring in 1 FA and 1 rookie and let everyone battle it out (McIntosh, Holani, Velus Jones, Akers, rookie, FA)

Ngl…I think when Charbs comes back, we’ll be gtg (duh). But….Im wondering if we’re just impressed with K-Mac, Holani, and/or Jones…impressed enough to consider being gtg come season time until Charbs comes back.

The draft is a crapshoot. I’m hoping we grab Washington Jr. from Arkansas but, you never truly know which rookies will be impactful. Not unless you’re in a high enough draft position to grab a ‘sure shot’ like Bijan Robinson.

The logical option is to grab a veteran FA. Maybe we still go this route? Maybe we go this route and draft one as well. The problem with that is that the more desired guys have already signed. Draft wise, we have a few priorities to consider before nabbing a RB. Edge may be a hot commodity if D-law decides to retire.

Something tells me that JS may have thought we were going to be gtg with Walker 🤷.

I have heard that Charb may not be back until Nov/Dec though. That's a pretty long stretch to go with an unproven group of back if we are serious about contending. I have faith in the guys making the decisions though so we'll see how it pans out.

Mentally, let Charbs go, he isn't coming back until (at best) late playoffs.

It's to early to freak out about any position, but a fair crash out would be for the Running Backs.

For 2026, Walker and Charbs are gone. Who is left? 3.3 yards a carry Holani? Jones and Wright have a total combined carries of 9.

It's time to get serious about getting some outside help. The only real ugly move would be if the Seahawks trade for an RB that's about the same as Walker and cost the same.

Isn't this a weak draft class for RBs though?
Says who?

I believe this RB class is actually sufficient and enough for Seattle to use their abilities successfully, especially with Seattle’s offensive game plan.

I get Kubiak isn’t here anymore but I’m thinking the offensive formula will transfer over to our new OC seamlessly as long as the offensive line concepts and coaching does not change.

Good backs in this draft! Just keep your head up!

Holani blocks pretty decently like Charbs tbh. He did some great jams in the SB and playoffs
