I for one am really hoping we keep him. He's called brilliant games when it's mattered this year and he's a big part of Sam Darnold having accomplished what he has. I'm not saying his departure would kill Darnold's success - any quality OC is going to examine tape and retain/build upon what's already been working - but the playcalling has been great recently and none of us have been complaining for once.

I hope he stays around, but understand it would be hard to turn down a head coaching position if he was offered one in a team that doesn't have a hopeless situation.

In the AFC Championship game they kept singing the praises of Denver's QB coach, Davis Webb. I think he's actually interviewing for some of the head coaching vacancies right now, but if he doesn't get one of those, maybe he'd like the idea of OC for a Super Bowl team.

McDaniel. Yuk. Feels so used. An experienced play caller would be good.
McDaniel may not have worked out as HC, but that cat can call some O.

He’d have a field day with all the weapons we have. This might sound sacrilegious but, I think he’s probably better at it than Kubiak 🤷.

That’s saying a lot considering Kubiak has done a marvelous job here. There has been ‘wtf’ moments…but, if you can avoid fixing something that ‘ain’t broke’…

I trust MM and JS regardless.

I’d prefer if he stayed at least one more season. It’s temping to go for those HC jobs but what’s left is: Browns, Cards, Raiders, Bills?

Of all of those only the Bills are tempting I’d say. With the Rams and Broncos out I suspect one or two of those jobs will fill in from some of their coordinators getting poached.

If I’m Kubiak, and the Bills are gone, and all is left is the Browns, Raiders, and Cardinals? I’d rather stay an OC in Seattle then be apart of those dumpster fires.

I'd rather Kubiak stays, for the continuity as much as anything. Changing coordinators every season sucks.
It's good we are going to the Superb Owl as many speculate the openings fill fast. McDaniel is OC for the Chargers now?

Kubiak is 100% gone.
Agreed.

There’s too many holes at HC now.

The allure of becoming HC will be hard to resist. Perhaps he does what Ben Johnson did and sticks around for one more year. But, Johnson did that with the thought that he’d get a chip in Detroit.

Teams are going to recognize what the Bears have done this season…and be ready to cough up some serious $$ along with a long ye contract.

If I HAD to bet $$, Kubiak’s gone. Prefer him to stay but..,l

Bills haven't interviewed nor requested one with Kubiak to my knowledge. Don't think they want to wait.

Here's the latest on Bills HC search:

1769459868176

I think it's a matter of if the Raiders are willing to wait, and if Kubiak wants that job.

I'm assuming that Kubiak has "an understanding" with one of the remaining coachless teams and will be signing a contract right after the super bowl. I would be thrilled to be wrong.

Of the 4 remaining teams still looking for a HC, only Cards and Raiders have interviewed Kubiak. No news of second interviews from these two teams yet.
