I'd also like to throw Justin Outten's name out there for OC if Kubiak leaves. He has play calling experience, yes, it was with the 2022 Broncos, but not even Sean Payton could do much with that roster. (I know he wasn't the coach at the time, but his first year there, he had most of the same roster).

He's knows what he did in Denver didn't work, and under Kubiak's offense, he's gotten to know what does work. I'm not saying promoting Outten would be a deciding factor, but what if it gets John Benton to stay on staff?

You can't blame a guy for following his dream and decades of hard work when he says yes to a head coaching job.

But if he does leave, who is the preferred, next level, elite Offensive Coordinator that will bring the Seahawks back to the playoffs?
It has to be assumed that every Coordinator wants to be a head coach, and you can't them for taking that opportunity.
With how many teams have been linked to him, I assume one of them will snatch him, especially after we've won the super bowl.

Kubiak isn't going anywhere. The Superbowl will take him out of contention (time wise). These teams aren't going to wait another 2 weeks.

I doubt it would happen but McDaniel would be an absolute DREAM with the offense we have now.
No reason for him to make a lateral move. He'll stay at NE until someone offers him a 3rd chance to ruin a franchise. I can't think of anyone whose success is so drastically different from coordinator to coach. After he fails a 3rd time I think he'll officially just be a coordinator.

I thought he was in LA? But yeah there's plenty of reason for him to make a lateral move. Hawks' offense is so much more dynamic than the Chargers' and he'd have so much fun cooking up some plays for this team

Joe Brady
Ugh.

I'm sure Darnold would be "thrilled" to have to have his former Carolina Panthers OC again (from his first season there) as the OC here.

Sam had better success under Joe's replacment : Bob MacAdoo.

That's how bad Joe was.

I know these HC come sometimes far and few in between opportunities and I’m sure he is eyeing one but if he does go, I hope Mac and possibly Schneider, know exactly who is in like to be a great OC next. Darnold, we have our present and future Super Bowl QB, we just need to keep consistent high quality coaching supporting Sam’s talents. JSN, is also a superstar that needs consistent high quality coordinators able to fully utilize JSNs talents.

I have a feeling, The Raiders and the Cards, want Kubiak.

Why would anyone want the Cards job? You have the top 3 teams in the NFC in your division. And Murray sucks, but the ownership will make you stick with him, like an anchor around your neck

So only three openings left….Cardinals, raiders and browns. Do you think he leaves for any of these three. I hope he stays and continues to build on this year. The choices of the three are the bottom of the barrel organizations.

For some reason, I was going to suggest the passing game coordinator for the Jaguars. I liked the way the Jaguars offense played, and seeing Trevor Lawrence have a bounce back season spoke volumes about coaching.

Then I did the research and found that Shane Waldron is the Jag’s passing game coordinator, so never mind

If Waldron's off the list we can always give Bevell a call.

So the Browns were leaning heavily toward Kubiak, but rumor has it they are making candidates write an essay saying why they would qualify to be an OC for Cleveland.

Kubiak's (rumor has it), was kind of short: "I passed an apnea test."

But with a good QB from the draft?
