I knew I preferred the Niners next week but I still rooted for the Eagles. I just couldn’t root for the Niners. Besides it doesn’t matter who we have to beat we are going to the Super bowl.

Nah. I loathe the Eagles for some reason. Can’t quite quantify it but I just do. It was a rare instance in time that I could root for our fellow division rivals.

That moment ended the second they won.

Back to our regularly scheduled program of hating them.

It doesn’t hurt that my son’s favorite color is green so he has a soft spot for Green Bay and the eagles. I’m just glad now that I don’t have to worry about him turning on our Seahawks this year.

It couldn't have happened to a more deserving team, coach or fanbase. Glad the Eagles lost.

Kudos to the 49ers for the upset, playing without George Kittle. Now they have to turn around and play the well-rested Seahawks on short rest. The NFL just announced the Seahawks-49ers game is on Saturday.

I just heard Booger say something about the eagles that really hits home on two fronts. He opines that the eagles as a TEAM seem to not really rock with each other too tuff. I didn't pay them much attention this year, but when I did, it seemed to be some weird drama in the air.
Conversely, our Seahawks seem to have the kind of bond and brotherhood that builds DYNASTIES. "MISSION. OVER. BULLSHIT. MOB." It's what makes Charbs being the redzone/goal line back over KW3 uncontroversial. I imagine K9 WISHES he got more touches down there, but the truth of the matter is Charbonnet is the better option. Also, the way our defensive leader had "Ginger Cuz's" back after the 4pick LAmbs game. Genuine comraderie in sports/battlefields is priceless. Coach is building something gorgeous up here in Renton!

Thats a great point. There is 100% a feeling that they are a team of mercenaries, paid to do a job together rather than the band of brothers the Hawk's are. Crazy thing is that the division and drama goes so far as to include the coach.

But that's Philly for you. The biggest, coolest city that no one really wants to call home.

True and that the bell they want to ring already has a big crack in it.

I loathe them because of LeSean McCoy (aka Shady) who has been bashing Sam since last season when he was a Viking to the point it almost feels personal.

Nope

Steelers
Pats

Are the two

We owe both or either a beat down.

Honorable mention:
Donks AGAIN
It would just be mean for us to destroy the broncos again…. I like it. But the patriots are who I want, except they looked like trash. Then the Steelers, who might actually make it… Aaron rogers might be the best qb over there which is weird… I actually thought the patriots were someone to worry about but I changed my mind. I guess beating the Steelers and Aaron rogers in the Super Bowl would be doubly satisfying…

I rooted for our rival to get passed them, is that the same as winning? Debatable… but my interest in them getting passed the eagles was entirely so that we could finish them off. First rule of zombieland, double tap ohh and cardio…

Not a surprising result at all.
I said in the other thread I totally expected to play the digits then the Lambs to get to the Superb Owl.

The way some posters were talking in that thread you'd think we won that game for the #1 seed because the whiners suck & not because we're just a really, really good team that just beat a good team.

It was surprising to me because I didn't expect the Eagles to lay a f--king egg like they did.

Kudos to the whiners for taking advantage and getting to this point.

But now the party is about to be over, and that boombox will get smashed upside their heads this Saturday.

I've watched several Eagles games this year & them laying an egg wasn't even remotely surprising. They've done it several times this season.

Orlando, FL...for good.
I didn't think the Eagles could suck that bad to lose at home to such a severely beaten up 9er team. But they sucked that bad.
A good friend of mine thought much the same. I told him a few days beforehand that I thought the 49ers would probably win because Jalen Hurts is a mediocre at best quarterback and can't carry a team to a win if their defense isn't playing absurdly good. I even put my money where my mouth was in the Hard Rock betting app, and well...I trolled him with it afterwards. :giggle:
