I hear you, but….

49ers at home
49ers offense very strong right now
49ers just destroyed Indianapolis, a team that we barely beat the week before at home

Again, I swear, I hope I am wrong, but that game really really concerns me. I do think we will win at Carolina and the 49ers will beat the Bears.

With all of this said, roughly a quarter of the votes so far were not on the Hawks so I am not alone.

You assume the Niners will still be playing for the division next week. They have a huge game against the Bears that they may not win. If they lose that then they have no reason not to rest players.

The sky for sure isn’t falling for me. This will be a tough game vs. SF, but our team simply is better but will need to neutralize McCaffrey and will slow him down enough to snatch the Div, while. Holding onto the 1 seed.
Expect two tough nerve racking games as the Panthers are no joke.

I might be alone in this but I don’t think SF beats the Bears. I can’t see SF stopping the run game and could be a long afternoon. There is a magic that the Bears have captured at the moment; wouldn’t want to face that.

I can see that game going either way. The 49ers offense seems to be heating up, though the Bears will have a lot to play for.

What kind of chicken little BS is this? No universe that we lose to this niners team without Bosa and Warner on the field. No UNIVERSE!!!

The Colts didn't have Bosa or Warner either... Or Purdy for that matter. We saw how that ended. The 9ers burned the same defense we struggled against to the tune of 48 points.

We can absolutely beat them and I personally think we play inspired ball that game. But if it comes down to winner takes all in that game, it will be more of a fight than we had against the Rams.

They have adapted to the loss of their stars and are playing extremely well. Should be a great one.

Exactly! I just don’t see why some folks here are so confident that we beat the 49ers. Their offense is humming right now and they are home for a likely winner take all game. Like you said, the same team we struggled against they absolutely destroyed at their place. Now I know it doesn’t always work like that, but I’m being realistic about the situation and the rose colored glasses aren’t on my face.

WTF!!! Do you honestly think I'm going to say anyone but the Seahawks? I know that married types like you with ever wandering eyes find it hard to stay committed. But that's on your poor pitiful weakly constituted soul. GTFO of here with that two-faced pliable will shyt. Any true blooded Hawk fan sees the Panthers as road kill on the way to fully exposing that Swiss cheese of a 9er defense that's going to give our Sam reflective moments in the pocket in determining how he wants to spread out his passing yardage amongst our receiving corp. And to think of the size of the bullseye that's going to be etched upon the back of McCaffrey by MM. He's lucky he's made it this far without a trip to the IR,

And I'll save this last little tidbit for BPdy. His little Iowa Opie thing only only lasts as long as his delicate nature remains unflustered before he starts looking like he's determined to start making the wrong decisions. The heat is coming for you little dough boy.
What he said ^^^

Because a big part of this fan base thinks that good vibes from their fan bases on the internet actually means something.

Sure hope we win, but Bosa and Warner went down forever ago and the Niners have still consistently won in the face of that adversity. Take them lightly at your own risk.

The 9ers have had an even easier schedule than us. Look at the teams they've beaten since our loss to them week one...

Saints
Cards
Rams
Falcons
Giants
Cards
Panthers
Browns
Titans
Colts

The only signature win they've had is against the Rams.

I'm not too worried about them.

On the flip side their confidence is sky high, both the offense and defense are playing well. It’ll be a hell of a game.

My heart says Seahawks win the division, but that’s the homer pick.

The league wants SF in the Super Bowl. Think about it. Easy schedule. Clear path to the playoffs where anything can happen. If they get the #1 seed, they play all playoff games and the Super Bowl at home.

Hawks, please win out!

Being a fan vs being a player are two different things. The point originally made was very simple, the 49ers have a good team and are playing at home likely for the division and maybe more. That was it! I as much of anyone on this board want the Seahawks to win as well. However, I’m not sure if everyone is as realistic as each other on those board about how good the 49ers are. I’m not saying the Seahawks can’t win, but we haven’t been exactly destroying teams as of late, but the 49ers have been rolling. If you truly feel like the Seahawks are going to win, then fine. But if you were saying they are going to win because you’re being obtuse, then those are the folks that the argument goes against.

Let it be known, I was the one who started a thread five weeks ago that said the Seahawks would go at least 6–1 down the stretch and the only game in question would be the last game against the 49ers.

I know exactly what you meant. As such, I surely hope you're just rolling in dough and had a fantastic Christmas since you're so super realistic and proficient in your predictions versus all of us "vibes" folks that know that regardless of what/how we prognosticate, it's decided on the field.

Look, I highly doubt anyone here is "underestimating" the 49ers. I'm also CERTAIN that none of us here have any bearing on the outcome of the game. So while you calculate the windage 7 minutes after kickoff in Levi's field, predict Purdy's passer rating and breakfast choice, or whatever, I and a few others are gonna just "vibe out" and say F the 9ers and SAY that we're gonna win like we did last week.

Also, @seabowl ,if your "gut" is indeed right and we lose, I will mail you some of my ex-wife's molasses cookies or Rolaids or something.
Not sure what the hostility is for as I’m not trying to be hostile at all. With that said, out of 80 votes, 25% of the people think another team other than the Seahawks come out as the division winner. All we are doing is making a prediction, not hoping it happens. I’ve been a diehard fan for 40 years and have been on this board posting since 1998. Big difference.

Exactly. Thinking your team is destined and that your opponent is over hyped is EXACTLY the formula to get your ass beat. Thank God it's not the fans on the field indeed, nor their 'fanatic'... 'if you aren't with us in thinking we are the best and will beat everyone, you are against us' mentality.

The 9ers could be a paper tiger, sure. It's been said they haven't beaten anyone of quality. Sure.

But they have arrived at they No 1 seed contending position having lost their 2 best defensive players as well their franchise QB for a long stretch, having to beat teams with a cast-off has been bench rider.

For anyone who thinks we might have the mojo of a team with destiny because we beat the Rams last week and doesn't think the 9ers don't carry that same conviction in their locker room given what they have overcome to get where they are ... You are fooling yourselves.

Our game against them, assuming we both win this week, will be a toss up. We still have yet to prove we can put together a coherent, mostly error free offensive game plan for 4qtrs since we lost to the Rams in week 10. That's 7 weeks of marginal play. During that time, the 9ers having been slowly cranking up their offense to the point they were unstoppable against a common foe we could only muster 6 FG against.

So yeah. I sure as hell hope our team isn't walking into that game (or this one against the Panthers) with the belief that they are fine. They need to be on the drawing boards with a clear eyed, sober urgency looking at the reality that yeah, they won a historic game against the Rams last week. But that they gave up almost 600 yards doing so. The 9ers are capable of doing similar things to our D that the Rams did and the formula is on film.

We need to tidy shht up in a hurry or we will get beat.
